Thanks for the heads up Hena and although it's only a small saving it's better in our pockets than there's. It may even be time for me to consider buying my own Tau. Hey Hena!.. mine will be cheaper than yours mate, wont that be nice. :))

So... they're obeying the law?  How... obligatory.  Shouldn't they refund VAT for us outside the Kingdom anyway?

This is great news for all our customers worldwide, because although this is a UK tax change, we have decided to apply these new lower prices to all the orders placed directly with Forge World, not just those from within the UK. This means that Forge World models are now lower in price for everyone.

Great news (and thanks for sharing Hena).

Unfortunately, it also kinda indicates that ForgeWorld ARE charging a UK based tax to everyone across the world...

I'm not sure but is'nt that technically illegal? (GW-UK don't/didn't charge VAT to overseas customers)
Anyway, nothing new about that. Enjoy the cheaper Tau Warhead!  :agree:

Great news indeed.

I think because the purchase is in Britain, technically, you pay VAT. It's important to them as they have to pay VAT on everything they buy, etc, etc...

So we get a 2.5% price reduction across the board? Whupidydoo...  :glare:

I saved more waiting for the GBP to go down against the dollar. And even then got smacked with a big old shipping bill.

I hope Forge World will eventually make a Warlord Titan. The one from SG is the only one available and it is ridiculously expensive. Currently I only buy old plastic Warlords from eBay or sometimes or a painted Mk.3 metal one from a former Epic gamer.

Hi,
Whenever I've bought in FW (I live in Israel), they always deducted the VAT tax, so they are OK by me :).

I seem to remember FW deducting VAT from my orders (I live in the US), but it's been a couple years since the last time I ordered.

Take what I say with a pinch of salt!

Tax + accounts aren't my strong point (ask wargame_insomniac)

I've never had a VAT reduction from Forge World (to the US).

This topic seems to pop up from time to time on Dakka, and the result is never clear.

Well, as was pointed out, you are actually getting a 2.13% reduction in total price :)
