Hello, i'm planning to buy an airbrush very soon (mostly for the 7 GW vehicles i've got to paint, the one i'm going to buy this year and my urban town project).
I've already practiced when i was a kid with simple action plastic ones (the same stuff that GW is selling now in a funny design) and now i'm going to buy a real 2 action one with a compressor.

My question is:

what's the differences between gravity feed and bottom feed, what's your preferences, what's the best for hobby painting?
I was aiming at first bottom feed, because that way you can put it somewhere if you have to turn your tank or do something else for a few seconds, but now i've got some doubts as most of the video i've seen are using gravity feeds :p

Thanks in advance.

HI,
I have a couple of aurbrushes which I've used for many years now.
I recommend to go for the gravity feed. It will allow you to work with lower pressure and is ideal to work with models.

My personal recommendation is to buy Iwata Eclipse, ECL-4500 (or something like that) with gravity feed. It is double action and very easy to clean and work with. If you buy one I can provide any advice you would like :)..
Not the cheapest brush, but excellent.

I'm using it to paint 1/72 models and it is great with Tamiya's acrylics.

Eyal.

I've used both and prefer a gravity.  Lower pressure and less prone to clogging in my opinion.

Thanks for the infos.
I'm going to buy this:

Said to be more easy to use than an Iwata.
I've got 2 rhino for practicing before working on my first baneblade and all the IG tanks :D
