Hi,
I will need three stands of obliterators for my chaos army which will follow the orks. I've read
the posts regarding obliterators, and went to Audrey's oubliette to see her conversion.

As I don't see a way for me to get the bits she used, maybe somebody can offer an alternative,
I've thought about maybe useing 10mm sci-fi or fantasy minis for them, but fear they are too large (how big should obliterators be anyway..?).

Thanks for any idea, I have some basic skills using epoxy putty, and I don't mind doing the work for it.
Thanks,
Eyal.

From memory she used Imperial or Space Marine robots from teh SM/TL sprues right? Ask around, I'm sure people have a few spare. Nobz, Chaos Terminators and plastic Sentinels work great for bitz as well too.

Check out Mark-Logue's Obliterators in Onyx's Iron Warrior thread. Pure skill.

Old imperial guard plastic robots are definately the best starting point, ask around, I'm sure plenty of people have some spare.

Yeah, 10mm sci fi figures would be about the right size if you can find anything that looks right.

What do you think about the following as obliterators?:

I'm not sure about the size, but this can serve as a good base maybe?

Eyal.

Up to you. Personally I think the Velite is a bit too big (It is slightly bigger than a Space Marine Dreadnought. The Obliterators are supposed to be big and menacing but not exactly larger than dreaddies.
Once I get around to it I plan on using a plasitc robot with some terminators and green stuff bits added.

Ok thanks :),
I wasn't sure how big they were, and my knowledge of chaos units is lacking..
So back to step one, I'll try and get apropriate minis when I get there. There is still time before I actually get to it and lots of work to do till then.

In any case I will be so happy to see your obliterators, would be amazing I'm sure.
Eyal.
