Hello folks   I've been in France this last week, but no Holiday-type chilling for me: I've been trying to do something productive.  Basically, I've got loads of terrain making materials left over from the gaming centre I set up there.  So I've been thinking about making some very basic ruined building kits to sell.  Here's a mock-up version of one of the kits:

They look like this assembled:

To show how quickly these can be ready for use, I gave it two coats of GW Roughcoat spray, then a very light spray of white for highlighting:

They look reasonable alongside GW stuff, and stuff from other ranges too:

I know they look basic, the idea was that it'd save people the hassle of cutting up all that foam board themselves.  They could be added to anyway, I planned to make one with some spare 40k Cities of Death components to show this, but didn't have time whilst I was in France.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions for these, thanks for looking!

Looking good... With a more detailed paintjob theyll be perfect to represent some standard building blocks. Itd be wierd if all houses were cathedrals, even if this is 40K, hehe.

What kind of price are you considering for it?

And I must of course ask, do you have any plans of making something similar in 6mm? ;-)

Pacific Sky Games does something similar, but their buildings are complete.  Roughly $8 for a 1-story building that footprint, and ~$6 for an upper story (they just stack on top of each other).

I'm not sure that's the right look for a ruined scifi building, but I certainly would want some of those, assuming costs of ~$5 to $8.  It's really hard to make a decent city board for Infinity without LOTS of buildings.

Thanks for your comments lads, judging from the response I've had from here and other forums, I don't think the cost of selling them justifies the amount of time I would need to spend cutting all of them to shape...  :sulk:

I think I'm better off just selling the foam board off so people can make their own buildings...

@Parzal & L-4 - I would love to do something like this for 6mm, but currently have neither the time, skills, materials to do something... best press E/W & DRM to do something...  :;):

Too bad Pacific Sky Games doesn't have any of theirs in stock.  I hope they haven't ended the line?
