I am toying with the idea of getting into Epic A. I've read the rules and liked them a lot. The game seems to play well. I haven't looked at epic since way back during Space Marine and Adeptus Titanicus. My friends and I used to play Titans and Space Hulk all the time.
Anyway, I have lots of the old square based marines with no missle launchers. All glued into their bases. Not a fan of them. I like the way the new bases look and having missle launchers in squads makes them look more realistic (in line with the rules).

I've noticed, from pictures, that if you buy space marines from Games Workshop nowadays the tacticals come as Mark 7 (no beaky noses) and the missle launchers are all the older Mark 6 (beaky noses).

I'd like to paint only Mark 6 marines as the Crimson Fists are my favorite chapter - I like the retro look. I've painted up some test ones from my horde. They look cool. I love the red stripes down their helmets. Takes you back, doesn't it? I've posted the pics just for fun. My camera and lighting aren't very good though.

What boxed sets sold mark 6's with missle lauchers? How do I put together a marine strike force with only Mark 6 Corvus marines in it?
Any advice would be appretiated.

The packs with tactical marines that are still sold have mk 6 missle launchers and assault marines. The standard marines in that pack are not however, but if you have a bunch of the old ones and need the launcher marines, just buy the "battle company" at

That's unfortunately the answer.
But on ebay you can easily find old tactical sprues like yours (only bolter though).
Sometimes some sellers sells unsprued things like a bag of missile launcher guys.

eBay or asking around here for what you want is going to be your best bet. I've got 2-300 worth of beakies. No extra heavy weapons though.
