Back from oblivion (again)?

I went with At-43 in the end, though I must admit a sale of 50% off starter sets did assist the decision.  

I ordered them last week, they arrived Friday and we've had 7 games already...
...I'm 6 games down with only a single victory to the Humans...

I think the Therions are a little more powerful, but its mostly die to my innate ability to roll really badly (I mean I had 10 shots with my missile laucher, at 3+ to hit, and got eight 2s...)

The figs are very good for pre-paints, the game plays quickly  (<30mins) and the mechanics are such that the lad is calculating it all now without my help.  Most fun!

Hey Tas you'll be on my side of the planet !!!  DC and Gettysburg are near my location in Ohio !  I've planned on going to Gettysburg, saw a lot of stuff on the History and Travel Channel. Should be really cool !  And it's supposed to be one of the most Haunted places in the US !?!  Good for this time of year !  And you are correct Florida (Mc Dill AFB ?)was certainly on the Rebel side !!       But to members of the UK Forces ... we are all Rebels !!  Enjoy the Colonies of the New World !

Tas !!!  Glad to hear from you again !!!  I take it you were not effected by the fires !  According to CNN, Down Under was "extra crispy" !  If the economy gets any worse, I'm going to have use the last of my savings and fly Down Under and become your batman !

The fires are still burning with over 200 dead, though somewhat controlled now.  More than half the dead are kids which is even more tragic.

There are contingents from US and NZ assisting so thanks very much for your help!

Well I'm sure I'd be an asset to your staff ... I can make a good cup of coffee !          Yes I saw that on the news about all the lives lost due to the fires. It is very tragic.  But I'm glad the US (and NZ) is helping you all out.  But as I have said before, the ANZACs always showed up to help the Yanks out !
