OK, I know flat screens are getting ever cheaper, but running a probably avereage 19 inch monitor at 1280x1024... the new UK GW web site still doesnt fit all on my max screen!!!

A lot of the main page contents start under the left hand menu bar. So what I'm wondering is... what size did they expect their fans to be visiting their web site to be using?

I understand that GW games are becoming a rich boy's game due to the prices increasing, but are they trying to bump up the spec required for visiting their web site as well??

I also see that the chaos pdf's still haven't made their way onto the new format web site.

The max size it needs on my machine is 1012 x 722.

Did it finally change?  Darn.  I've been going to it instead of the US website for a while now, because the scripting underlying the US website wreaks merry hob with my brand-new Dell quad-core.  Every time I try to surf through a menu on the US website, the site locks up for a while, or clicks don't register, or what have you.  It's a nightmare, honestly.

Try a different browser. The "site" isn't the problem, your browser is locking up. Its probably barfing on all the Javscript they use.

Or run the other Java.  MS Java doesn't like Sun coding, and vice versa.

Another thought is to make sure your Java installed OK (had lots of issues with that when I worked tech support).  Java versions build on earlier installs, so if the 1.3.x install is bad, no (Sun) Java is going to run right.  You need to find the install files, then uninstall all the java, reinstall in numerical order (1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, etc), then restart the computer.

AFAIK there is no Java applet on the GW site.
