I'm trying to get back into chaos (yet again) and I'm looking for ideas.

I've already got a small force of Khorne, Slannesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch.

I'm envisioning a Chaos Lord and the Black Legion in the middle, two of the others on either side. Then luming in the back is a legion of Iron Warriors and their Titans.

Hopefully this is doable fluff wise. If I remember correctly, Black Legion is undivided and can have any (hopefully all) the other major chaos forces working for it.

Now I've come across Chaos Conclave for 40K Apoc and there is Abaddon and 4 characters, and I like that idea as the center piece leading my chaos force... but I'm wanting to create a different character in place of Abaddon.

So the vision is my Chaos Lord atop a rised cliff with the other character around and below him, also hoping to have a Daemon Prince too. As they are slightly raised, the Terminaotr body guard can stand in front and chosen can linger at the side.

A big vision... now any ideas how I would make my Abaddon memorable? I'm hoping to use a standard Chaos Terminator as a start as I don't want to make a model from scratch, nor make him a larger model.

I'm still toying with ideas whether to have him rised on a cliff top like stand or make him an altar, or mount him on top of a vehicle

What do people think?

The Space Marine chaplain model might be a good place to start too, perhaps some cutting and splicing with the Chaos Terminator.

Have a look at Specialist Games Warmaster 10mm Chaos. They are metal but very nice and probably the right size for a big monstrous Chaos Lord. I have been thinking of using these too.

Is there a good forum to see loads of painted Warmaster models as the pictures off GW site arent that detailed so hard to get inspiration.

I'm currently been thinking of having my chaos Abaddon stand in armed with two lightning claws with combi weapons on top... a sorta mock version of Marneus Calgar, but then that's going to look a bit like Horus with his two claws.

Was hoping to avoid using an axe, as that would make him look too like a Khorne follower. Pole weapon is used by Nurgle, so I'm pretty stuffed for ideas to make a chaos lorf that really stands out

Yeah, the SG pictures are a bit rubbish Lextar. However, I went for it anyway (I suffer from poor impulse control) as they may suit my needs even if they are a bit bigger (Chaos Daemons, perhaps?) so I'll post a pic or too when I get them and they will hopefully show you how they compare to Epic minis.
