Some Star Gate bits ... the models came to $12 ... but the cheapest way to ship was $10 and it will take 2-4 weeks ?!?!   Last time I checked Canada's border ran along the USA's ??!  You don't have to cross an ocean or any major terrain obstacles ...  Why $10 & 2-4 weeks ?!                                  Rant mode terminated ... thank you ...

Just because the Canadians have decided to have a trade war against all free thinking and right minded miniatures collectors doesn't mean you can have a go at the newbies without Avatars and Oldies who think it's pretentious to have an Avatar and don't see that they too are being pretentious by not having one.. oh great, there, yah see... Any pic of Amanda will NOT calm me down at all, as you astutely noted !  Everytime I watch the Sci-fi Channel which is very often, they are either showing SG-1 and/or SG-A + The Sanctuary commercial with her long black hair !  A good example of "double Tapping !"                        And I think the Canucks are violating NAFTA ! Wait ... Amanda Tapping is a Canuck ! And I ordered Star Gate models (2mmm SG-A Jumpers & an SG-1 Goa'uld Al'Kesh) made in Canada ... and Star Gate is filmed in Canada ...  I see a  conspiracy here !!!!!!!!   They won't be happy until we all have Canuck Flag Avatars !!!!   I'm putting all units on DefCon 1 !  The Canucks are coming ! Yes, Amanda is a Canuck !  But she was born in the UK, Essex IIRC, but moved to "Moose & Maple leaf" land as a very young child.  So that should appease you Brit-philes too ...  If I wasn't such a Hammer-phile, I'd use that pic of her(in the buff ?! ) wrapped in the US flag (that I posted on the Pirates Day  thread) as my Avatar ...  So if you don't have a Av ... get one is my point !!!

My avatar looks all grainy in IE, but looks fine in Firefox and Safari.

Can anyone suggest how I can fix that?

Continuing ... Beef #3 ... Ordered a pack of F/W AI Aquilas (2 per pack) on 28AUG08 ... got a package today ... only one Aquila, broken Tail Rudder & 2 Right wings !!!!?!?! Who packed this ?  A blind Ork whacked out on Squig juice !?!?!?!  Can't e-mail F/W, you get an automated reply to call them ... tried faxing from my home office fax ... I have no international line and if I call or Fax just as a Long Distance call it's $3.50 a min ...     Commercial FAX(Kinkos) is $13 !??!    So, I copied the invoice, typed the situation, printed a copy ... and ... mailed it ... yes ... mailed it ... 94 cents to mail a 2 page letter to the UK ...     How primative !!!   What next ?  We'll be wearing loin clothes and Ho Chi Minh sandals !!!     It was bad enough the mutant that packed it sent only 1, but he/it even got the wings wrong ... DOH !!!   So if I get no satifaction, I'll e-mail the invoice to one of you Limey Blokes and have you call'm and sort it out !!  The F/W crew can read and does open it's regular mail I take it ?  I hope ?!?!?!  So the Canucks ripped me off for postage and the Limeys ripped me off for my Aquilas !!!!  I tell ya it's a Frakk'n Anglo conspiracy !!!

Anyway, Amanda's here now. When she heard what was going on she didn't even stop to get her nurses outfit or much else for that matter. She looks distraught for L4 and hopefully can negotiate a peaceful settlement to the Yank/Canuck divide... She said she would do star jumps if L4 calms down...
