So, here's the stats....(dodgy cut n' paste but should make sense).

Necron Monolith 20 cm 1+ +3
Particle Whip  75cm 7BP 3+ -1
Flux Arcs 25cm 4  5+  0
Fearless, Inorganic, Living Metal (5+ Regen), Skimmer, Deep Strike, Transport 6

It's also a Superheavy, so Living Metal can be used on any damaged result, but a 6 on the SH Table will still kill it outright.  So, how many points should it be?

The cost formula table says 171 for 1 but does not indicate cost for Living metal and deep strike so 175 or 200 should be OK.

I was going to say 250 points each due to the regen (living metal) but what is this 'cost formula table?..'

It's an Excel file that computes the cost for a unit or a detachment upon its stats. Can be found in the Files folder on the ML.

About my first estimation, regen and deep strike could effectively increase cost to 225 but not over, poor CAF, weapons are not as good as IG SHT and no PDs...

I think you can discount Deep Strike as a) they dont get points for objectives, and b) they really don't want to get into HtH if they can help it.  Still a strong ability of course.  Living Metal is the hard one....without it is a 125-150 pointer....with it....200 sounds like a good start.

Now, the problem is when you make a company with 3 detachments all in a Monolith, plus a Lord and retinue in their Monolith, you end up with one very expensive company.  Given at least 200 for a detachment of standard toasters it is 1400 even if you charge nothing for the Lord and his retinue.

Deep striking a complete force is always expensive so 1400 points may be high but not so problematic.
