Thanks all for your comments :)

@Onyx: I return you the compliments, I inspired myself from your pics and tips (WoodLand Scenic pigments are just great for fast and nice shading).

@mspaetau: I PM'ed you

Scream, thanks for resurrecting this excellent post.

Are the Recon balloons from Man'O'War? They must have cost a load if they are... or were you lucky enough to have owned them before they went out of production?

There's a recaster that is bombarding Ebay with a number of the MoW flyers, so you can get them relatively cheaply ATM.  It's the same dude that's churning out the Plague Towers and Ordinatus Armageddons.

yes, these are some Man'O War ballons and Zap is right too, I bought 3 from a peridoc ebay recaster. They cost me ~15€ for 3, not that expensive but not cheap for the recast job that is not good. Ulmo sold me an original ballon, and on the picture, you can easily find it.

Say thanks to Onyx :) He is the first to show and explain how to use them ;)

I use alcohol to dilute the WS pigments to get a good repartition.

I use them on all my minis now:

or

I hope you'll enjoy them :)
