Yes, D/S is correct !  An AFV is just that - an Armored Fighting Vehicle. Which in general terms that covers most armored military combat vehicle types. Including IFVs, MBTs, APCs, SPA, etc. ...  And as D/S mentioned an IFV is a lightly armed infantry carrier.  But usually has more armor and bigger weapon(s) then an APC(Armored Personnel Carrier). Example - the US M113 APC vs. the US M2 Bradley IFV.  Now the Sabre you have there is a NetEpic AFV, yes ?  The G/W Sabre is an Assault Gun(I've posted pics of the ones I made before). Now IIRC, the NetE Sabre can carry Infantry too ?  So if that is the case it is an IFV, since it has more Firepower then a Rhino APC ...          :D

Most excellent work L4

My versions of the Exorsist and Immolator but with my SMs !

Is that a missile turret from a Russian BMP? (Modern tanks not my strong point. Better with WWII ordinance.) I may actually have a handful of these turrets... hmm if I call my Exorcists Cardinals I could make Exorcists like these too... I may even have enough for a company...

And the L4 version of the G/W Sabre ...
Wow, I really like those. They look like very nice Tank Destroyers or Assault Guns, StuG anyone? What did you use? I have a pin vice and I'm dying to use it on something.

Urgle! Argh,  :oo:  I'm supposed to be painting...

Hey Duz,  long time no see, glad to hear from you.

Thanks for the complement. I've seen your own excellent moding madness (Tank Transporter, Emplacement crane etc) so it is quite the complement, cheers.

Sabre Company. To my eyes they looked ok. Then I took a photo and could see the mistakes. Too late now, I'll get them on Monday.

Ecclesiarch/Hereticus Praetorian Cathedral - same idea as a Laud Hailer on a grander scale and with the added firepower. (Sorry, Zap).

Big day tomorrow with an early start...ish. I will get the Batle Report posted as soon as I am able. Thanks for everyones support and help.  :D

Wow !  Great looking Sabres, W/H ! Love the color !  The turrets on the Immolator & Exorcist are from GZG 2mm AA Guns ! :D  They fit perfectly. The Sabre is a Mk.1 Metal Rhino with old E40K IG plastic Las-rifle trimmed to fit. I use them as TDs, just like a lot of the StuGs were used in mid-late WWII. And you ask why I was around all those AFVs ?  10½ years ('79-'90) as a US Army Infantry Officer !  :;): It comes with the job !

Cheers L4,

GZG 2mm AA Guns !

Ah, Nuts. Alas, I have none. I still think I can make the Russian BMP Turret thing work. Will post pictures if I do.

with old E40K IG plastic Las-rifle trimmed to fit.
So, 40K stuff does have it's uses. I have no idea why that one didn't even occur to me. Great, now I want some IG Lasrifles.

US Army Infantry Officer !
Stories please, Mr L4?!. or is that reserved for people who buy you bear only?  :p

Yes, a Russkie BMP turret should work fine ... look forward to seeing those.  And Oh yes, 40K stuff does have it's uses !    Stories of being a US Infantry officer ... had a lot of experiences during all that time ...  Lead an Air Assault Rifle platoon in the 101 Abn in Central America as a LT. 2 years with a Mech Bn in Korea, with 2 tours on the DMZ as a CPT in the 2nd Infantry Div. . Commanded a Mech Co. in (W.)Germany and the Desert with a Separate Mech Bde of the 18th Abn Corps.  Awarded Parachute and Air Assault Wings, etc., etc. ... :;):  So I got around ! :D  Thank you for asking !

Much disappointment, no game today.

My friend called off as he is unwell. He has partaken of too much of the fruit based refreshments the night before and has ended up with a Deli Belly. Should have stuck with hard liquor and/or good clean beer. Ah, well can't be helped. (Tactical Victory?) New schedule for next weekend so back to painting... yay... woo-hoo... :sigh:

I will at least get to watch Scotland play Football today so I am set no doubt for another disappointment.  :vD

I took out my frustrations at Scotland being beaten on my models. Much paint flying and craft knife cutting, gluing etc. Here is the result...

Banisher Battery - I didn't want to waist a Thudd Gun for these and felt a Heavy Mortar would look better (More like a German WWII SPW 251/2 81mm Mortar Halftrack)

Cardinal Battery - Hellfire incendiary rocket launcher for digging out stubborn Heretics from cover.

Ok, it's an old cruddy Bombard. However, if you make up stats and fluff saying that the shells are inscribed/blessed and sanctified blah, blah, etc, etc, then you have an Anti-Daemon battery.
I'm trying to come up with a name. I favour Sexton, Deacon or Bishop (Purely names from British WWII Self Propelled American Lend Lease Artillery).

Ok these are not for the SoB's as this is a PDF Artillery Company. These will be allied at some point with the SoB's. I don't have any tractors but they are not really required for most games.

I may have figured out the Arco-Flagellent dilema (I still wasn't happy with them) but I do not have any ready yet. Pic's to come soon.
