Gives me some ideas !

Always glad if I can be of help... Assuming we are talking painting minis and not about water towers and high powered rifles...

Here are some more SoB's. Most are not very exciting except maybe for the one Archangel that I experimented on tonight... good enough do you think?

I really love painting Eldar Exarchs (or in this case Archangels) as the mini just loves to be painted with all that detail.
I hated painting the marines (Sisters and Repentia)due to the quantity/similarity in mini. Mind numbing work. Duh.  :oo:

I wanted to get an impression of how far on I've gotten and how much further I've still to go.

The Army so far. Managed to finish off a company of IG/PDF in urban grey that I can also use for Frateris Militia by replacing HQ's with Priest and or Confessor/Missionary.

First attempt of an Arco-Flagellant. Need to trim the arms and perhaps some sort of barb or mace at the end of the arm.

I decided to try CyberShadows suggestion to use FIRE! It does work, despite my very remedial skills as shown in the example above. However for anyone tempted to try, a word of caution. I was not wrong when I said they might go on fire. It's very, very... very fast working and if you place the mini too close or for too long near the flame it ignites. So be warned.

Arco Flagellent or some weird 6mm vodo doll with pins stuck in?  :disagree:

Thanks lads. I would have preferred better arms but couldn't wait until better parts came along. Their good enough until I can find something better.
Unfortunately I have run out of the plastic clothing tag line thingies I was using for the arms and I made the mistake of telling the wife this when she asked what I was looking around the house for. The good news is that by tomorrow I am sure I will have more tag lines. The bad news is the cost of the clothing the line + tags come attached to.

Now if that doesn't get me off my a**e to work on mine I don't know what'll work

I'm off work though so other than housework I have time on my hands. Besides, mine do not compare Justiniel, statement of fact not modesty.
Still, I didn't know if I could do any of this a few months ago as I had two detaching retinas and had both eyes operated on (Scleral buckle applied to the left and Cryo on the right) so quite pleased with recovery so far.

I spotted that the Mistress needed a cloak so stole another from a Tzeentch Disc Rider thinking I can take the rider off the disc and use him as a Havoc Chaos Marine.

The clothes tag trick is actually what I used on my Mistress and, yes, not a wise move there in requesting more
Hmmm, I'm not sure that mine are any better than yours, we'll have to get together and compare some time.
Sorry to hear of your eye troubles, if the general run of things is to be expected I've got that sort of thing to look forward to (Diabetes)

Hey Justiniel,

We holiday in Port Patrick often during the summer. On the cost near to Cairnryan? I think it's something like a two hour trip to Ireland but I could be wrong. Possibility for game/meeting/much drink and merriment?  :agree:

Ach, the eye thing is behind me now and I'm doing fine. I'll admit I was sweating bullets before the op but it all turned out ok. FYI If you ever see a flash like a white neon worm going past in your peripheral vision see a doctor IMMEDIATELY!
The only worry now is I can't do the same job I was doing so have to go through a whole process before going back.
I'm afraid it is a problem with Diabetic suffers especially if they have short vision. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to be on the right side of the odds.

Immolator Squad completed. Wish I had enough spare Predator Sponsons to do an entire company. I'll keep looking out for alternatives though and see if I can make a six vehicle Immolator transport detachment like with the SM Razorbacks.

Excellent, you would both be very welcome.  :))

My Immolator - Cut the bolter copulas from the top of the Rhino. Take one Eldar plastic Las Cannon support weapon and cut off the laser at the barrel then cut the mounting off the platform. Glue the mounting to the Rhino. Cut the flamers off two metal Predator E40K sponsons and glue them to either side of the Eldar weapon mounting. Pause to apply first aid to inevitable finger cuts. Cut an appropriate infantry mini in half at the legs and glue behind mounting. Wait for glue to dry then paint.

Presently trying to finish the Archangels. All shaved and glued but still to paint. I'm running out of time and have in fact gone over my limit of two weeks. However the game isn't until the weekend so not so bad. I had hopped to get some of the extra stuff my mate wants to borrow for the game painted too but not possible. I'll be lucky if I get his stuff glued up and ready... sooo I had better get on with it... (Must resist TacCom...)

Archangels ready for a night out. I can overlook the guns for now so long as I have representing units for a usable army. I wish I could make some sort of halo though. Any ideas? Greenstuff?.. I've got some but have never used it before.

Sabre IFV?.. Converted a Company of these since they are so cheap to field and easy to make.

What is the difference between an IFV and an AFV other than the title Infantry/Armour? L4 your sure to know this.

Does not look like the Laud Hailers will be ready in time. Took off the copper piping and tried the easier to make lolley-pop stick tubes but the size is a bit big. Does anyone have any suggestions?.. hey, clean suggestions that is.

Found myself painting a Leviathan last night. Can't imagine how that happened, sometimes the mind wonders... Thoughts of Ecclesiarch Praetorian Cathedral bubbling to the surface.

Strictly speaking an AFV is any armored combat vehicle. An IFV is a lightly armored vehicle that usually transports infantry and its main weapon is primarily for soft targets like infantry and unarmored vehicles.
