I take it you have seen My Sisters thread?

Does a bear relieve himself in a woodland area? Of course I've seen it. Only problem is some of the earlier pictures don't link so I can't see them.  :sigh: If you were feeling kind you could PM them too me...  :;):
Picture I saw was your Immolator, that thing is awesome. Don't think I'll manage anything like that but I have a plan. I'm going to try to make the old 40K style Immolator instead.

New thought...

Eldar Striking Scorpions - Arco Flagellants (this means I can steal the chain swords and go ahead with the Repentia/Eldar Flag bearer hybrid, yay.)

Justiniel, do you want/need a set of plastic Ork Dreadnoughts for arms?

I had only a little time to work on SOB's today. Schools on strike so took the wife and nipper out for the day.

However, here is what I did do...

I liked the result of the Eradicators and the Noviates. (Both very easy).

Immolator went ok but there has to be an easier way of doing the laud hailer. Sawing copper plumbing pipe, even thin pipe is not easy without vice. Ambulance on standby.

I score marked the books edges with craft knife and it does look like pages. Well to me anyway. Hopefully this will show in the painting process.

Could be a Retributor, a Dominion or a Celestial. Whatever it is I like it.

These above are the most completed units for today. I also cut, lost and found again all the swords for my Repentia and have enough stepped on and broken Striking Scorpions to make a unit of Arco-Flagellants. Forward Observer team also ready but not based. Various other bits and parts readied for gluing too.

This sounds like my method of sculpting, except without so much of the 'finding' part.

Bravo, you're really churning them out at the moment, making me look bad

The amount of times I've been on my hands and knees has been crazy, With Sisters is that a bad thing?

Quantity if not quality. I've always maintained that if you can't supply one you should try your best to do the other.

So that must mean that your table is steadily rising up on a pile of missing/discarded off cuts? Or are you just pleased to see me.  :))
I lost my first sister repentia MIA under the table among a load of boxes and assorted crud.  :sigh:  She will not be forgotten.
The amount of times I've been on my hands and knees has been crazy, With Sisters is that a bad thing? LOL
It depends on where and what they are doing at the time I should imagine... err... or so I have been told.

Anyway, all this innuendo and highjinks has momentarily distracted me. I have again little time to paint as I have been ordered (by the little mrs) to paint the upstairs bathroom and hall    so naturally I have completed a Prioress on a Bike (Punisher?) with a flying cape on her back and the based Forward Observer... or two... and a Repentia... and some preparatory work on a Arch Confessor/Cardinal/Deacon type thing...
Do you think the wife would appreciate a Fleur de lys in the bathroom? I need the practice.

For the Repentia, would it work to take the glaive Beastman torso and glue it to some Eldar Guardian legs?  If so, that would be a pretty quick and easy way to do a large batch - 2 cuts and one glue.

And that's exactly what I did with a couple of mine   after spending a lot of time fiddling about, the variety helps!

All jobs done. And I even got the decorating done too.

I don't know Neal. It all sounds fine and avoids the tricky swords but the head looks like it would take a lot of shaving down. The beastman hybrid certainly looks good but I just think the Eldar Flag bearer was easier for me. Even if the swords are fiddly... Oh and apart from holding a flag the Eldar Flag bearer is a useless model better used in some other way IMO.

Eldar Flag bearers, shave the head until round and the back pack off and the flag off and then glue on a blade (Banshee, Striking Scorpion) and then finished. Easy. I finished mine today. Yay.

I even came up with an idea for the whip. Plastic line for clothing price tags, marvellous!

Yee-ha *crack!*... how do you do the sound of a whip in letter form?

A Confessor with book. '... and now for the book of revelations, Psalm 69...' (It's a Ministry thing) The band... nevermind.

I don't know yet what she is but I love her and shall call her Wendy... Some Hero of the Empire anyway.

Canoness on a Punisher. Sorry about the blurred picture but she was going too fast.

While painting the bathroom I was thinking about what Order my SoB's are from. The Martyred lady is a favourite and I like the black and red theme. I was going for this originally but I have other armies with this type of colour. So I'm beginning to think I would prefer to go for the Order of the Argent Shroud and paint them in Boltgun/Silver armour and red/white detail with some gold in places.

I did whips in the hands of some of my Dark Eldar, using twist ties with the paper off (of course).  They worked fine.  The diameter was just the right size for the hand of a 6mm Banshee (normally holding a sword) so I could guess it would work for yours as well.

Nice job!!

Thanks, Moscovian

I have, for better or worse, chosen the plastic line for clothing tags until I see what size the part from Bitz Box is. If on arrival it looks the right size then I'll swap it or if the whips still look odd (too long perhaps) then I will keep all the ideas suggested in mind.

Well since being off work gives me quite a bit of time on my hands despite the household chores (unavoidable interruptions)I think I have managed, in a week quite well(for me). Wish I could paint better but ah well.

Today's lot. Finished the Sisters Repentia, Eradicators, Purifier Dreadnoughts, Exorcist Squadron and the Martyr Squadron... oh and the Novitiates HQ.

This is how many are painted so far. Many more are in the process of planning, assembly, painting etc. I got some tube like plastic lollipop sticks for the Laud Hailer. There a bit large but definitely the way to go with the tools at hand.

I enjoyed making/painting the Martyr squad, very easy.
I  still have a lot yet to do before the next weekend so better crack on.

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated. Something to keep me going. What... too desperate?
