hehe :) I'm in the middle of one with a friend of mine too. We had to quit last night because itgot too late but we should be good to finish it this evening. Ours is pretty on edge right now and much is probably going to be decided in the next turn or two.

Ehlijen,

Very nice conversions on your last two entries, well done.

 :agree:

p.s. Does anyone else have problems using the Quick Reply option when using Firefox3? It doesn't work for me. It just hangs.

For some strange reason my last entry in the comp, the pic is tiny but its been re-sized to the correct settings for the comp. Anyone know why that is, gonna have a check later tonight when home.

And yes, I also have that prob, when using the quick reply option. But the add reply one works fine so not to worry. Maybe its dead :ghost:

The quick reply option is not just a problem with FF3, it also has problems for other browsers. I am investigating. If you preview first, and then post, it works... but stops being a quick reply!  :p

The boards also automatically resize (down) any pictures to meet the maximum post size limits. This is a new feature which was not present in the previous board software... when the competition was started.

Excuse my double post, but this is aimed at USABOB and his recent Gothic cruiser entry.

Q) How did you make that little cathedral that sits right in the middle? It's cool! Is it a small piece from another boardgame?

Cheers,

 GH.

Thanks GH.

My first thought on the cathedral was monopoly house, but it seems too small for that...

Hey Giulio DDM,
Isn't your "Eldritch Path " Chaos cruiser one of those rare all metal Games Workshop display/promotional models that are 300% the size of the plastic models that came in the Battlefleet Gothic boxed set?
I could see how one could get a lot more detail onto one of those. Also, one would be much encouraged to create a cool base like the one under"Eldritch Path".
No matter what size or scale it is, it's a beautiful model!
Could you post a picture of "Eldritch Path" with another BfG model to show the scale of "Eldritch Path"?
Great Job!
Thanks & Regards,
John

It's from BFG, it is nothing more than part of the bridge from a Chaos planet killer :).

Hi all, would I be right in saying this is the BFGcomp with most entries yet - and still two weeks to go?

It does appear to be, keep em coming!! now that I have the model assembled I'm a little sad that I probably won't actually get my grand cruiser finished in time I was hoping to get it in since there seems to be a lack of pics of the things around the interwebs.

On a side note, even if it wasn't for a prize I think it would be cool to have a fleet composition subset of the competition for say a 1k fleet. Small enough to spend time to look nice and get fairly close pics of, and helps people see more than just an individual ship.

Actually this has been an option ever since Gothicomp started. But Cybershadow before and now me as well never saw the purpose of doing a fleet competition without a prize.

Now if we manage to obtain 3 prizes next year there will definitely be a fleet competition as well.

On Giulio's ship: standard Chaos cruiser from the box....

Number of entries is also great. I also know there are still some upcoming....

Awesome! Hmmm... Would it be possible to set up a paypal prize pot that we could all just contribute to throughout the course of the year and then let the organizers split between the three prizes? I'm sure if we all donate a few bucks here and there there would be enough combined wealth for all three to have prizes. If we could raise about $102 we could get 3 BB and an escort squadron to split between each of the subsets or if less came in maybe a BB, cruiser, and an escort squadron.

I might yet get the CG done then next week. Nearly done with the two projects that I've got to do before painting it!
