[CODE] M/sons in Burnt Scienna and W/Eaters in Forest Green/UK Bronze Green ...  Acording to the SM1 painting guides the M/son were red during the Heresy. Well not in my outfit ... Burnt Scienna is good camo for high iron oxide enviros. And again according to the SM1 guide/drawings the W/Eaters are green ...     Works for me !

[CODE]  W/Eaters Bn Cdr & Staff/2IC/XO. Bans sent me the converted SMs to paint -  Cdr with map case, Mk.VIs with J/pacs + Hvy Wpn ! Thanks again Bans !  Nice work !  He sent me 2 Mk.VIIa with Hvy wpns, they are with my WIP LoD.

[CODE]  My Buddy Alan who used to work at G/W US made this J/pac conversion. Bans used the bases to the old SM banner/flag poles, Alan used 2 rounded strips. I add a little detail, but otherwise thanks to both gents for the cool SMs !

I have occasionally wondered what world it is they are supposed to eat. Perhaps they change their banners to match the world du jour?

Really like them L4. I haven't painted any Marines in years (got board) and you make me want to try again.

I don't know if the World Eaters change banners everytime they attack a planet, O-man ? I'll ask'm next time they are in town ... with some time to kill ...       Truth be told Warhead, I've literally just started painting much of my Epic Infantry and I started in '90 ! May of these guyz have been based since then awaiting a paint job. Of course that didn't stop me from playing many, many games with'm in bare plastic ! Glad  I could provide motivation for the cause !

They both look great, but I especially like the T-Sons.  A good dark red really fits marines, esp. Chaos!

Thanks Boyz, Yes, Van there is some armor for these SMs, but I painted and posted those long ago. However, most are just tan or greens, etc. More generic tac colors.  That's one of the good things, with no work being available, "O" ... lots of free time ! To paint and go to the gym & pool ! And bans, again much appreciated, like I said, the Hvy Wpns SMs are with my LoD WIP !  They will be painted soon !
