Ooh, and I once had a hampster stuck in a land raider and had to cut it out. That one did make a good anecdote.

No offense to your Land Raider LI, but that's hilarious.

Are you another member of the "white guys with Asian women" club?

Theres a club?  I don't know if I would manage membership.  I would best describe her as an Aussy Sheila with a Chinese dad.

Grey Knights break as soon as you look at them

I hate all metal multipart miniatures for that.  Not only do all the parts shatter of and the base break when dropped.  You end up with a big flat dent where they hit the ground.

I cringe at the people at tournaments who balance beautifully painted armies on top of GW carry cases when walking between games.  A tiny little bump from one of the little kids that is inevitably running around looking at everything and there goes your army.  Mine always go back into the case for transfer.

Now I am going to have to look at solutions for my Epic armies at home.  Putting them on a tray on a room that the kids won't go into isn't good enough if as soon as someone opens the door the cats run in and start jumping all over the place.

I hate to say it but I laughed my rear off through the whole thread.  I actually was saddened to hear the picture of the cat was photoshopped.  Don't get me wrong I do feel bad, but that was way too funny.

I had a cat who loved playing with minis I was currently painting, which at the time were Titan weapons. I was in the habit of leaving them on my painting table. She would jump up and bat them off the table. My solution: put a sturdy box lid (or several ones) over everything I was working on. Worked like a charm.

Huh, my solution is to scream like a banshee if anyone (children, cats, guests, whomever) go near my stuff and jump around like a maniac.

Maybe that's why people don't seem to come round anymore.

Heh, actually I've a display cabinet for painted stuff and a painting tray I can put in a (lockable!) cupboard when not in use. Although the cat incident occurred when the cat jumped up, curious about my cupboard, which I had just opened and was cleaning the table - so even locked cupboards may not be enough!

I'm such a "psycho", no one goes in my War Room ... without me ... no one !                  And if you start a white Boyz with Asian Babe group ... I've never been married ... But I've had more Asian "girlfriends" then "round-eyes" ! :D  I could be an honorary member !

You could save on box lids by just putting one over the cat.  :D

I love cats, and want one, but these horror stories make me think twice.

I had this image of Mark's woman coming home and seeing a hissing cardboard box weighed down with a pair of work boots sliding across the kitchen floor.

Cats are great... In other people's homes.

Funnily enough that reminds me of a funny story.  One of the old share houses I lived in had a feral cat that would rush into the house every time you opened the frigging door (my flat-mates had a cat so it was after the food).  At one point I tried to befriend it and feed it as I figured I may as well treat if for fleas etc if it pretty much lived with us anyway but it went and bit me so I gave up on that plan.  Anyway.  My mate I was living with and I came up with the plan that we would just stick it in a draw or something ever time it came into the house then chuck it out hours later as we thought it would eventually give up.  His girlfriend had major objections to the is plan but we were young at the time and it seemed pretty funny to us.  So eventually we start just sticking it in the garbage bin out the front because the draw just didn't seem to be working.  Anyway one day we had it in there and we had forgotten about it.  We were sitting out the front having a coffee when we saw his girlfriend walking up the street.  We prayed that it would stay quite until she was inside so we could let it out but the silly thing decided to start meowing right as she walked past........ we got in BIG bIG trouble.  It was actually funny though because it got into the house a couple of weeks later and cuddled up against her hair while she was half asleep in the morning and it took her around 10 minutes to get around to opening her eyes and figuring out it was the flea bitten feral not her beloved cat.  Nothing the boyz ever done to it could be considered mean compared to her response to that.
