I noticed on the GW site that they are running a Conversion Competition. They have had hundreds of entries and they are down to the last ten which is now down to a public vote.

GW Conversion Competition

Now not one to influence the public vote, but I would suggest going over to the site and voting for entry number 7.

Why I am posting this, am I a GW fanboy, no, just that Tuff is the person behind entry number 7 and I feel he deserves to win!

Thanks all for the vote of ("encouraged...") confidence, but it looks like there simply arent that many people who appreciate madness  :{  :-:

But madness is what makes us Epic players. No normal 28mm gamer would transfer instantly to Epic without a dose of madness.

Plus we need even more madness if we have armies above 100,000 pts...(Primarch springs to mind)

And you need even more madness to paint like Paul! I have seen Logan up close and it still amazes me how detailed he is!

To recap - To play Epic needs madness ;)

Cheers

Chris

PS I apollogise for spelling mistakes in advance, I have just come back from the pub. :D

Scale !  It's much more reasonable to play large game in Epic scale and I just like the size of the models.  40K is (or was) supposed to be a skirmish game, 30-40 troopers and 2-3 vehicles per side.  Not the large mess you see in W/D of 40K games being played with forces that would make a small Epic game !    Those 40K guys are just plain weird !

The scale gives a broader range of models and is perfect for modeling and collecting. And as I have said I collect all the Armies - IG, SM, Traitor SM, Chaos (including Cultist), Orks, Eldar, Squats, 'Nids and Tau & Kroot.  And the models are well done, too ! :)

Hi!

I'm laying of Tau and kroot until they get into a more affordable metal and plastic material, if they never come out then, I guess I'll be forced to buy those horribly expensive FW ones.

...I collect Epic because the legions of tanks and infantry really appeal to me... as well as Titans of course too...

..40k is fun, and the models are excellent, and great fun to build up a nicely painted and detailed army, but Epic is just more impressive I think..
