Well I think that it looks ok for our future, we have seen little to nothing really come from the last two years apart from fan based stuff. Being under the bigger umbrella with more support and the said new items for each system is a step forward.

Cheers
Aaron

That's what I feel.  I can live without constant rules tweaking - even the ones in the book are perfectly workable.

Attracting more players is more important.

More support? Where?

We are losing multiple lists - how are we going to attract new players? Where does a 'nid player look - or a Necron player? Bear in mind, on the current SG site, there were lots of links that would bring a player here - where they could find what they needed. But the new 'bigger umbrella' isn't going to link to TacComms. We've been effectively cut off from GW altogether.
This is downsizing - not more support!

I wasn't convinced about the need for netE:A before, but I am now...
Regards,
Reaver

I'm sure the fringe lists will be maintained here.

EDIT - I'd strongly recommend against a 'net:EA', by the way.  The player base isn't big enough to stand fragmentation.

Mod Lex at SG forum:
What Andy did not specificly state, is that the reason the Mods/Ansermods go along in the move is because the (reporting) structures behind the forum will remain intact. So Rick and Jervis will remain working within those structures for reviews etc.

Well.....if the SGs are now under the big umbrella of GW i fear theys see TacCom as obsolete.
If they want to continue and expand Epic stuff, they will do it on their own without the help of us guys here.

Look obejectively at TacCom and the whole fan-based army development. We where supposed to finish the BlackLegion and LatD armylist in agiven time frame. Not only was this time frame overstepped...after "finishing" the army list was STILL seen as broken.
Not very professional.
Other army lists where playtested ans developed simultaneously...some over several years and still aren't finished yet.

This will not look very favourable in the eyes of GW. I guess they will drop us and do their own thing with the SG range, games and rules.
Tjis site is then for fan armies only (at least in the eyes of GW).

Heh, I do believe that you've entered the site through the US portal, and those are the dollar prices. :D

I believe that pricing issue is some dollar / pound mix up (happened to Leman Russ tanks or something the other day).  Don't worry about it.

Look guys, if Specialist Games are going to gain more prominence then the pay-off is you lose the ability to tweak at will.  That's just the way it is and I for one think it's worth it.

EDIT: I wouldnt necessarily blame the ERC structure for this. (CS, edited)

Very much so.

I happen to be certain that it's worth it.

Ye gads men, that post by Andy talks about new models, for the SG systems.

The other Specialist Games will also get similar packs in the future.

If, in theory, SG had some Epic models left unreleased from previous developments, I reckon we could be rather happy at some point in the future.

I mean, we know they have a few Chaos models at the least.

CS Edit: Lets not throw stones here guys. Different people have different methods. Thanks.

Got to agree I'm afraid.  I asked specifically if help was wanted with proof-reading and was told it was all in hand...and out went the 'final' version complete with typos.

Suppose it makes it look more like a true GW product though :p

We now have no chance of getting official status even for well developed lists like the Tau.

Shouldn't someone ask FW to host the Tau list?  They make the models afterall and if the new structure is associating the lists with the website that sells them it seems like the best place.

Works great by me having things this way.  More exposure to the gaming community in Aus as we didn't have SG on our website at all and still have forums like this for those who join the finatical group.

So with the help CS is giving SG, does this mean the SG forums will be officially migrated to TacCom?
