Flamer LR - sounds perfect for Salamanders.

Speeder Scouts - sounds perfect for Ravenguard (and a nice bit of synchronicity with the recent thread revivial).

The new LR variant might well be something to leave for another list. Space Marines need Crusaders more than this new-fangled inferno variant...

Inquisitor brings up a good point. I'll the first to admit that the idea of adding new vehicles (especially ones that have never been in the Warhammer universe prior) is an exciting idea but then again we have to hold back and think about it, Space Marines fluffwise adhere strictly to the Codex and don't tollorate techpriests toying around with currently vehicle designs.

As well, If we start adding new units then we'll be turning epic into what happened to 40k when Apocalypse came out. I've seen way too many scratch built, custom stat'ed vehicles that it completely turned me off from playing 40k altogether.

An ork looted Necron Monolith with attached looted Tau rail guns was the last straw...

Anyway, i digress. I've given my two cents. But i'll support the transport landspeeder idea ^_^.

The new LR is the Ares variant that Dave posted the link to. (2x Hvy Flamers, twin Assault cannon, Demolisher cannon.)
And there is a model already - it's not available yet, obviously, but there are several floating around Lenton.

Regards,
Reaver

Odd beast - 25cm, AV4+ra, 30cm AP3+/AT4+ Ignore Cover, 30cm AP4+/AT4+, 2xAP3+ Ignore Cover small arms ignore cover - how would you point it? How does that compare to a crusader?

No. The new Land Raider is called Redeemer and has an Inferno Cannon in each sponson. Don't know exactly about the secondary armamend but i think it was a twin Assault Canon.

I don't know that it's been leaked what type of weapons the flamer sponsons will be.

It seems to be called the Redeemer.

it's serposed to have transport space so i don't think it'll be Inferno Cannons, heavy flamers looks more likely.

Eh, it's needless speculation at this point, we'll just have to wait to get a confirmed ident on the weapons.

From Warseer:

the Redeemer with Str 6 AP3 flamer sponsons and twin linked assault cannon.

Heavy Flamers it is. :)

There's actually a bit more too by the sound of it:

- New thuddgun-esque weapon for techmarines.
- The Scout landspeeder is called the 'Landspeeder Storm'
- Razorback now has a whole bunch more weapon options (Multimelta, Heavy Flamers, Assault Cannons, Twin Plasma weapon of some sort)
- New pattern of dreadnought with better armour (AV13 to the front).

5th edition is out the first week in July, and Marines can't be more than a month or so behind it.

I thought SM Redux is open for October?

And Str6, AP3 sounds more like Inferno Cannon. Flamer is Str4 AP5, Heavy Flamer is Str5 AP4.
The Techmarines new weapon is called Thunderfire.

A small tracked gun which follows the Master of the Forge. The MotF is a new HQ selection. According to the rumours the Thunderfire itselfe seems to be a between of a thudd gun and a molemortar.
