What to do with my Squats?

I never had very many, so what should I do with them? Start hunting for the bits needed to make an army or flog what I've got, in which case what are they worth?

3 Overlord airships
1 Big WE cannon
9 Gyrocopters
1 Land train
4 Carriages (2 bombs, 1 cannon, 1 inferno)
20 Exo armour trikes
17 Trikes
53 Bikes
19 Standards
17 Exo armour
19 Heathguard
17 Weapons crew
Loads of mole mortars and thudd guns
16 missile launchers
90
Heavy bolter
93 berserkers
159 warriors

Unless you have a cash or storage problem, or simply hate them, collect the missing bits and get yourself an army of a type the value of which (models-wise) is increasing.

A pair of collosus and a cyclops are a good start to add to the list.

You can never had too many infantry, artillery (grand battery is a bargain!) and bikes in the Squat list.

If you are going to use the current "Demiurg Consortium" list, you would need 1 mega-cannon more to make viable 3000 point army. If cause then not that much choice on what is in it... to expand it then, one colossus and/or cyclops, some more trikes and 2 more mega-cannons and perhaps more gyrocopters. And some odd robots from old sprues (and rhinos and possibly gorgons)

And perhaps some tunnellers. Although the rules a bid odd now.

...and while waiting for that I've decided to run them like this:

* Brotherhood: 5x 2xHB + Heartguard; LandRaider + 2x Rhino. ~400p?
* Thunderer: 5x ML+HB + Heartguard; LandRaider + 2x Rhino. ~500p?

Alternativly:
* Brotherhood: 5x HB + Heartguard; LandRaider + 2x Rhino. ~300p?
* Thunderer: 5x ML+3xHB + Heartguard; LandRaider + 2x Rhino. ~600p?

How would that match up?

I can't vouch for the Squat lists, as I found them unacceptable to use (near impossible to lose with).

To that end I authored the Demiurg Consortium to mixed reactions. They play well and IMO they are very balanced as much as they utilize some purposeful extremes and hanicaps. The fiction on the other hand is a love or hate affair...

It might be playable, but it's not mining and smithing squats.

There are a couple of fan lists for Squats. You should be able to search past threads for them.

Edit: I had forgotten that the thread for Squat lists have been pinned and therefore easy to find under the "E:A Other Forces" heading.

Problem is that that pinned one starts of with something else and then only include the Thurgrim-variant (and starts with some Space Marine thingie...). and it's both defunct and non-active.

For some reason the thread does start with other stuff, but there are three separate Squat lists posted by Jaldon: Thurgrim's Stronghold, Khazak's Stronghold and Gharmull's Stronghold.

Yes. And Jaldon's keep the Squat-feeling.
But still something lacking. Esp when it comes to actual model representation.

I'll sit down and get something together and see what people feel about it.
