Stug did it for the project specifically as a front cover, because he's awesome like that.

I was thinking of calling it 'EPIC : LEVIATHAN'.

'Leviathan' works on two levels, because Gryphonne IV was invaded by Hive Fleet Leviathan, and another word for leviathan is 'Titan'. :)

hmmm....i still like the "campaign name" more.
Armageddon f?r SM, IG and Orks, Gryphonne IV for Titans, TG and Tyranids.

But then Swordwind already broke this pattern :(

The nids ate all of the minials and the higher ups refused to believe that the lose of such lowly indentured slaves would halt products, until they had carried out a 200 year research project into it.

Whilst they were distracted by the project the nids ate everyone else. :D

ragnarok : I think TRC is probably referring to the Ordinatus Minoris as being overpowered.

I've just noticed that the lysander doesn't have a speed type, I assume it is surpose to be a fighter.

I've missed a battle report?

Yep, fighter.

No battle report, but you'll find a game in the battle logs thread between Chris and I... during that game Chris mentioned quite a few times that the Ordinatii were very powerful, and then in this thread he referred to the Skitarii army list as being optimally min-maxed when you only take 'Ordinati and Hydras'.

This leads me to the assumption that Chris's line above is a joke about the Ordinatii being overpowered, as if Gryphonne IV had Ordinati, they shouldn't have lost the war, because they're so powerful...

I think that's his point anyway.

Damn you E&C.  You linked to this thread.  Now I am forever confused.

Nope, I am as subtle as a brick. :) I simple can't believe that the AM lost in that conflict. Don't they just have to point everything up and pull the triggers? Come on Macrage survived and a forge world must be a lot tougher? Hell, you just replace 'assemble part c34i with parts 1 and xcu945klrt7' with 'kill all zenos' and send the servitors off to tire them out! :)

Poor project management though is a good rational.

Having Minoris' and Superheavy tanks in the same list is kinda pointless. Redundant repetition, they do pretty much the same thing on the battlefield for the same cost.

It would seem that the Ordinatae would be better if put back in the Titan list (especially the Minoris - where they actually have a roll to play). My opinion on this is fairly strong. I have played several games using this list (and many using the old V2 list) but my current opponents are still learning (quickly) the game so I haven't put up BatReps. I have played this list and do have an idea what I'm talking about.
We'll still be using Ordinatus' around here anyway but it would (will) be nice if (when) it's official.

The Dual-fit Warhound weapon TAX is not going to be used here - No real point to it.

Thanks for the return of the Majoris Special weapons (from 3.10). I love my Nova Cannon!

If you do so, I recommend upping the base cost of the Ordinatu Minoris to 200pts.

Dual-fit Warhounds are for the most part simply more powerful than their varied-fit counterparts, because you can then specialise their mission.

If you don't use the 25pt surcharge, then you'll need to implement another balancing mechanism in your games, or you'll have a slight but significant advantage over other AMTL players.

No problemo, it was a contraversial call removing them in the first place.

That may well be acceptable, we'll try it out.

I live in Perth, Western Australia... WHAT other AMTL players!? ?:;):
Mark_Logue is the only other player I know with a Titan Legion and I'm pretty sure he's not gonna want to pay the tax either.
I'll pay for the weapons used on the Titan and that is more than enough balancing factor (or the weapon costs are flawed - not that I think this).

I notice you didn't reply to the Ordinatus/Superheavy tank comparisons E&C. Why the duplicate ability formations?

I didn't reply because it's now a Skitarii-specific question, which should be raised in the Skitarii discussion thread.

In brief however, I believe they serve different functions.
