I was woindering, could the imperator be a modular titan like the rest of tem, rather than being a boring single fit beast.
My idea is that it buys two of each arm weapon and can have 4 carapace choices. Removing the hellstrom and plasma anihilator cannon.
So a normal imperator would have two plasma destructors in one arm two gatling blasters/quake cannons in the other (depending on how you see the hellstorm working), a volcano cannon and the MRLs carapaced mounted (I never liked how the biggst titan around has battle cannons on its carapace, though VMBs could be used instead to represent the close defnse batteries).
So it loses AA from its defense laser and gains a boost from its carapce.
The warmonger would lose out a bit having 2 support missiles (instead o 4) 2 quake cannons CLP 3 enhanced hydra turrets.
WMN's imperator would have 2 plasma destructors 2 gatling blasters (since te two quake cannons is used for the warmongers cannon) 1 volcano cannon 3 triple barrelled turbo lasers
and mine still has fa too many weapons to fit in

Whilst nice in theory, the original models were not modular, and only a small minority have been converted.
I'd suggest sticking to the two known variants, when playing tournament style games.

I think this is a fantastic idea, but it'll need a bit more work.
The Emperor class "chassis" probably should have some standard weapons, common across patterns/types.

How many Imperators are there in the 40K universe anyway? Is there any indication? Dozens? Hundreds? Billions?!

If each Titan Legion has one or two, then we can't be talking more than a few hundred in the entire Imperium (Scattered over a million worlds, that's not many).
