In my last fight as the tyranids i used a card to give the charging Hierophant better movement. Since he was travelling on a road he got to a Gargant and killed it the first round. Sadly he and the rest of em went down in flames but it was a memorable charge...
The Hierophants move was with the overdrive 75cm and then bonus for the road 20% was 90 cm. My opponent got a shock I can tell ya.
Does anyone else have any memorable stories?

I have a memorable moment from one of the games I played against my nephew. He was playing Eldar and I was playing SM with Titan allies. Turn 1, one of the first, if not the very first, shots I fired was a Volcano Cannon from a Warlord at one of his Phantoms. I usually have lousy luck with the Eldar holo-fields, but this time I managed to score a hit. Great! Roll for scatter on the hit template. It hits right on target, a wing. Roll for damage - wing destroyed! Needless to say his Phantom didn't live much longer. We all know how vulnerable Eldar Titans are without their holo-fields.

-last turn, khorne vs eldars: Angron with the "doom" psychic malus on him charging a warlock titan, getting growth/+1 caf/incontrolable flatulence, punching his plasma reactor and getting a "6"
-orks vs squats: an opponent shooting on one of my great gargant with a squat cyclops, HAHA you fool it's invincible ork technology ! Oups, no: 6, the beam pass all the shield, destroy the boiler and detonate the ammo room making lots of fire, killing it at 1st turn
-A firelord avance in the air toward the city, he gets shot by 12 devastor stands in the buildings, 24 dice rolled, awful scores, just one 6 and plenty of 1-2-3. I was laughing, make my save, and made a 1, the only missile hit the eye and he burst in flames...

Hi!
Ah... so many memories....
1. The whole HQ section of a space wolf company gets hit and can only save on a 6. There are 4 stands. My opponent rolls his four dice and SAVES ALL OF THEM!!!!! (rolls 4 sixes!).
2. Before praetorians had hit location templates, 3 ork squig attack guns attack three squat colossi and on each roll no scatter and doubles for THREE DESTROYED COLOSSI!!!
3. One turn knockout. I played space marines and dropped an entire company of tactical marines and another devastator company via drop pods and thunderhawks respectively. I took 5 of the six objectives and the shooting phase did the rest. Game ends 55 to 7...... !
4. Greatest ball round of all time! The gargant fires its gutbuster cannonball round at extreme range. The "guestimate" range is spot on. The ball plows through a building destroying it and rolling on to crush most of an IG platoon and finally it hits a warlord titan in the leg, blows the leg off destroying the titan, it wavers and fall on top of a nearby building, destroys it with all the IG heavy weapons platoon in it. We call it "chain reaction" !!!
5. Reaver close combat monster. I have a particular reaver design that has a close combat head, chain fist and laser destructor. Thats 3d6 +15 in close combat! I have regularly taken down bio-titans, phantoms and even warlords with it. You should see my chaos reaver variant with an aded chaos tail for extra close combat goodness!
6. Vortex missile survivor. Everyone knows if you get hit with this you die. I have only seen something survive it... ONCE. A great gargant (played by me) gets hit by a FULL vortex blast. The impact was so bad the ammo blew, along with the boiler and several other locations. It had so many fires it looked like a fireplace. The only way it wouldn't blow was by rolling a one on the fire table..... I rolled a one... !

The locals are all sick of it no doubt, but I still hark back to the old SM2 days when in the tight final of a tournament my Avatar single handedly did 14 wounds to a Heirophant in a round, and then my opponent only regenerated 4 of them in the end phase

My most memorable was Squat, IG, Marine Vs Squat, IG, Marine around 20k points (10k each) and a whole weekend of play. Second edition rules set.
Forces very evenly matched, loads of praetorians, titans and super heavies on each side. I'm slightly behind on points at the end of turn 2 and both sides are close to a victory.
Turn 3 starts up and the main armoured thrust down the centre of the board by my opponents is gathering momentum. Two leviathans are huddled together with armoured support in the form of storm hammers and baneblades. Opposing them the remnants of a warlord battle group, 2 titans, one badly damaged and unshielded.
I unload the first (damaged) titan into the leviathans getting not a lot, the return fire nearly cripples the it. The undamaged warlord fires a vortex missile into the middle of the armoured formation, landing slap bang over the top of the leviathans... With a strange sucking noise both of them disappear into the warp with their contents. Which I find out is a complete Squat brotherhood and a space marine veteran company. I've never scored so many VP's in a single shot! Something like 25VPs..
Won me the game in the end as the rest of the attack faltered in the centre allowing me to take the objectives and it had severly reduced the enemies abilities.
