Anything goes but it must be the most recent version of the army list, as per the handbook/archive/these boards.  No broken old army lists :-P.

Force lists submitted before hand would work well.  Just so DS and I can check to see if they're legal 3k lists.

Oh, ya, I was thinking 3k.  Anyone want anything different?  I figure if we start at 9am we can go to 9/10pm and get about 4 round in.  The bigger/smaller stuff we can save for the pre and post tourney games.

I guess we should have said 3k points right away. As Dave mentioned, submissions would be helpful to double check the math. We should probably shoot for three 3-hour rounds. Knowing how things went for the Stratford tourney, I think we need to allow for unexpected events. Right, Mosc?  :p

The only army that I can think of might be up in the air is AMTL. I personally don't mind going with v2.1, but if we can get v3.x more settled, we could probably go with that.

ePilgrim and I have a lot of terrain, but other should bring theirs as well. ?Most of my trees got smushed in the move out to Pennsylvania but I can make some new ones pretty easily.
---
3000 points / 3 hour games sound good. ?You may want to start the tourney around 10am though to allow for the hand shaking, terrain set ups, miscellaneous things that come up. ?You may end up with an odd number of people or be short on table space. ?Of course if we are going to be there Friday night we could probably set up a lot of stuff prior to the store closing so it is ready first thing in the AM.
---
Submitting the armies beforehand is fine with me but it might be just as easy to have each person bring two copies of their armies and ask everyone to make sure they are legible and show point break downs, all upgrades, etc. ?DS and Dave can look over each army briefly but opponents should exchange their papers in the 10 minute warmup to double check. ?Anyone fielding an uncommon list should bring 2 print outs of the list as well (or make arrangements to have somebody else print it for them).
---
The only complaints that came out of the that Stratford tournament were on the Necron 4.1 and the AMTL 2.0. ?I honestly believe that the most recent changes to the Necrons (with a giant ? mark over the Wraith formations) have balanced the list. ?I can't speak to the AMTL list other than ePilgrim's experience against Ilushia's army was so traumatic that we gave him the 'Urine Stained Napkin' award for the hardest beating down the Guard have ever experienced.

Correct.

For those who haven't been following the development of this army list, there's been a lot discussion about the playability of version2.1. In the absence of anything better, I'm willing to let this list be played, especially because that's what I might want to play  :D However, given the lists that E&C is currently working on, by June it's quite possible that they will have been developed sufficiently to allow.

Spoke with Scarik who says he will most likely show as well.  And I bet I can get StudderingDave to show if I bribe him with shiny metal models. :p

So that is two more.

I'm working on a flyer for the tournement that I hope to pass around at Havoc this weekend and at the Time Machine.  I'll post it here for people to pass it around.

At some DS we're going to have to work on logistics/registration stuff.  How do we want to run that?  Email with force lists?

That's good news, Mosc. I presume you sufficiently brow beat ePilgrim into attending.  :D  If we can count Chroma and TheLimey, that makes at least nine, with some other "maybes".

I think TheLimey is bringing his wife which would bring the total to 11, correct?
DS, Dave, TraditionCT, Justin T., TheLimey, Wife-of-The-Limey, Chroma, ePilgrim, StudderingDave, Moscovian, Scarik.

I fully expect some people not to show, of course (these things happen) but with your other maybes factored in we could be looking at an even dozen for the tournament.

The sooner you have the other gaming activities ironed out the better so our long-distance travelers can make arrangements.

Unfortunately, it's looking likely that this is now going to coincide with a proposed business trip to China, Thailand and Indonesia, so the wife and I, unless things change will have to drop out. Buggrit....

I will field the Demiurg, 'cause I am sick of playing IG and Marines against the Raiders lists..."so says the Merchant Prince!"

How are you folks set for terrain?

We'll probably need some. The Time Machine has quite a bit of terrain, but only enough for 3 or 4 tables. I have some, but not enough to make up the difference. Any terrain you could bring would be greatly appreciated.

Just between ePilgrim, Suvarov454, and myself, we were able to cover 4 tables and had some terrain left over.  ePilgrim has a lot of buildings and some roads.  I've got trees, canyons, textured terrain cloths, and hills.  My winter terrain took some punishment in the move but I've fix it up in time for the tourney.

Have you figured out if we'll be doing things on Friday or Sunday yet?  It would be good to know.
