I doubt the Primarchs only had a single set of weapons they used for every battle. Sure there were preferred combinations, but I do think that each one of the Primarchs had a whole set of weapons he could pick from and used the one most fitting to the situation. :)

I went for those weapons through reading galaxy in flames when he drops after the virus bombs.

i'm sure (not a quote) it says somthing about him ripping though world eaters with chain axeses as he heads in the direction of saul

but like you say thay would have a number of weapons

with magnus i think a chainsword and the sceptor/mace

well he 's done

but i feel hes a bit off not as good as the others
i've done him twice and this was the last the staff is such a pain.
i was tempted to drop it and give him a bolter

but i'll let you lot dicide.

Wow that came out really good with a bit of paint.

I have absolutely no idea how you guys manage to sculpt in 6mm scale.  If I could get GS to behave that well I would be a happy man.  I have enought trouble trying to get the look I want with it on 28mm miniatures.
