I bet there might be some interest in mass produced servitors.

Vermis, how do you get the GS so smooth at this scale? Got any special tools/tricks/techniques you'd like to share?
Great job, that's a nice mini.

Ta all!
I had a recent idea of sculpting up a sprue of 'mechister' characters, with a few cyborg bodyguards. I still have to finish that castable version of the mech-mage, but I hope to get back to it after a couple of other projects. Then knock a few more out to go with it. Then I can send 'em to Otterman, as long as you don't mind giving them up if/when I ever set up my own little cottage/mom-and-pop business (which, to be fair, isn't going to happen anytime soon).
I don't want to send this cyborg. It includes non-vulcanisable plasticard, for one thing. I realise that doesn't matter much for resin casting, but I want to get into the habit. Anyway, I picked up a tip from Bob Naismith and started using milliput superfine white, which is easier to shape than styrene IMO. And some niggling proportion problems, for another thing.
I just need people to get angry and impatient with me. Shocking lack of motivation and attention span, don't you know.
Dave: don't use it straight. I think I only used it straight to fix the armature. Any green bits showing are GS + apoxie sculpt (a bit like GS + milliput), which makes smoothing easier. The grey bits are procreate, which is also great with it's smoothing properties and lack of memory.

I have to admit to some slacking on my own part, having never contacted Reaper to see what a tooling/casting quote would be on something like this.

Putty. I knew that would come in useful.
Some of my tools. I have a tendency to bang on about them (no surprise there), so settle in.

The first, and the one I use the most, is an 'improved' GW tool. I went at it with needle files and it turned out surprisingly easy to grind down. I took off the irregular and ragged edges, filed the round end to a slightly convex leaf shape (not so easily seen there), sharpened the blade, and tried to make some kind of Wax-5-esque shape - although in retrospect I'd keep the hook and lose the spike. I polished it with fine grade (wet 'n' dry) sandpaper, and I would've dipped it in floor wax but it seems to be okay without it.
Homemade stuff:

I never used the loop tool, so I binned it. The others are useful, particularly for 6mm. A pin tool, a bamboo skewer tool from one of Reaper's articles (bamboo chopsticks are good for larger tools), and a thick needle made from the leftover skewer.
I have a few other tools that come in useful at times. Most used is your bog-standard hobby knife/scalpel. Also, clay shapers, darning needles, and the end of a mechanical pencil for occasional rivets, among others.
Obligatory pimping: Heresy's fine range of tools. The leaf shape on my GW tool is based on the one in the 6-pack.
