Hey, my mate BlackRabbit33 offers commissioned painting.

Check out his website:

BlackRabbit33

His Epic armies are well painted and look great on the tabletop.  :)

Mark has taken one commission.

Maybe he would look for second after his Eldar.

Thanks for the plug guys.

While I am happy to do commissions when it fits in I am also a full time research officer, part time postgrad student and father of two.  The other aspects of my life are busy at the moment so I couldn't do a large commission justice.  I could really only do small army size projects over the next few months as these I can plan into the timetable better.

As for organising your commision the more precise that you can get all the details prior to setting a deal the better.  It is really best if you can get a couple of test pieces done.  This is really good for both parties because you want to know that you will be getting what you thought you would be getting and for the painter they don't want to quote imagining a scheme that they can paint quickly and efficiently only to find out you were imagining something different which takes longer to paint.  Setting details of packaging (and varnishing first so paint doesn't rub off against packaging), postage etc is good to because there is no point organising for an army to be nicely painted if it isn't in that stait when you get it.

Unfortunately I can't think of anyone else to suggest that hasn't been mentioned.

Hi!

I don't think the topic is "taboo". Actually I understand it completely.

I HATE to paint. I have long since moved to having others paint my epic stuff. I have used quite a few people. Mostly from oversees, since they charge lower prices.

There's a group from Sri Lanka that has very good prices and supposedly do an excellent jobs. I have tried people from Australia, Germany and now Poland (and no don't ask me whom my currently painter is, since he's MINE! He's been working on my first order since 2002 and I don't think I'll be done with him until 2020.... :D ).

Of course given the weak dollar your better of with someone local.

The recommendations given in the thread for painters are good ones. I've seen most of them over the years and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Good Luck!

A friend of mine runs a painting service in Bangladesh and what's more he plays Epic.

He has done 6mm stuff and has a variety of qualities available price wise. His website is http://www.reinforcementsbypost.com/about.html

And yes I hate painting as well.

Here's a 6mm example, cost I think $0.40 for the base.
