Call me strange, but I'll pass on it.

I'm totally going to buy one of those and keep it on a shelf for 50 years.

Uh, the weird thing is, that this actually looks quite yummy compared to some of the stuff you always end up eating during a rock festival... Maybe I should get a couple

I've had C-rats and LRRP rats left over from Vietnam when I was a cadet in '75 and they were only 5-6 years old ... And we were eating those until '85 ! Until used up and replaced by MREs. Come to think of it ... I've got 3 or 4 MRE's in one of my foot lockers in my attic since '90 ... I better find those and after I see what they look like, throw'm in the trash ! I'll pass on the burgers in a can ... But I did have Nachos in Cup at a local Church Festival !

L4. please tell me 'rats' are rations and not - er - Skaven!
I have a tin of water of all things. Doesn't make much sense until you know it's part of a lifeboat survival kit. Long beyond its best before now. Came from the shipyard where I worked years ago. And no, there isn't a poor Russian sailor dying of thirst because I nicked his water, this came from a crate of extras.

Yes, Van ... "rats" are GI for Rations ... However, it was mentioned in survival training that rats (ie., rodents) were edible. POWs, troops at Stalingrad, etc., have "feasted" on them. Now if they were as big as Skaven ... you could feed the whole squad !

It cannot be any worse than a MRE.
