Hi guys,

I tried to ask the question on SG forum in someone else's thread but to no avail.

I was just curious if anyone had heard anything regarding the safety of Epic in UK Direct Sales and online.

I emailed them and got a cut and paste job that did not even answer my question about Epic and Bloodbowl.

Has anyone heard anything? Can I assume that in 3 months time I can order more plastic infantry for my guard?

D.

Ring 'em up, ask if the guard sprue is due for withdrawal.

Personally, I think Epic is safe for now, but I've been wrong before.

Just got the following response:

Hi

We don't know.  All we can tell you that we are pushing for the
specialist games to be available on a model by model basis with the full
range available as always.

The changes at the moment have only been confirmed for the three core
systems.  All can say is that we will have more info in the next week or
so.

So take from this what you may.

Hope the future is bright for SG direct sales since it is the only place to get them.

D.

I agree with E&C. I think Epic is safe for now, but knowing GW, the minis could suddenly become unavailable with no official announcement. However, I don't think the future is bright. In fact I think it's very dim.  :(

I honestly think doubt that GW will remove any of the Epic stuff. We benefit from a relatively recently development for the minis, meaning that the SKU codes are all fit in with the existing system. I dont think that we will see another Epic release, but I would be surprised to see things vanish either.

That said, the response from MO hardly encourages confidence! "We dont know"!? Wow.

If GW do pull the entire Epic line, that would pretty much be the final straw.

They wont pull the entire line, just the core fomations, then claim that no one is buying epic anymore (since you can't make legal armies) as justification to pull the rest a few months later.
