Thanks for the update. It is very much appreciated as it makes the process much easier for everyone. Good luck in your other gaming, and let us know what you are up to.

Well for one thing I have a job now (computer tech/salesman in a small computer store). Back when I was helping with the EA testing I was just out of college and unemployed :O. Hence the massive number of hours spent on play testing.

Video games are using up alot of my lesuire time these days (Currently my collection is around 250 games). I play games for almost every platform including the older ones: PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PC. So far the 360 has provided the largest number of good games (and plenty more coming this year). The only thing missing from my collection is a PS3. Waiting for sony to get some decent exclusive titles and decent PS2 backwards compatibility on Aussie PS3's ^_^ (we get the same crippled version as Europe which lacks the PS2 chip)

Also working on rennovating my house. I now have 2 dedicated gaming rooms :D. One room for video games (including space for all my consoles, 2 PCs and my soon to be aquired Samsung 46" LCD TV )

The other room is for Tabletop games with space for two 6' x 4' tables side by side (yes I have started playing 5,000 point Apocalpyse games of WH40K :O)

And it was going so well upto that point.

Enjoy CF and thanks for the time that you could spend on EA

I'm sure there are many who would like the honour (I know I would love to try an idea or three), but there is no formalised structure for appointing new champions...

Neal, your thoughts?

Not to sound like a broken record, but I really think that if there is going to be a concerted NetEA project, the first step is to decide what the end goal is.  "Don't start without the end in mind" and all that kind of stuff.

This mirrors my thoughts on this matter.

It's why I started the HOW thread that was eventually locked by Cybershadow (for the record prematurely and unhelpfully in my opinion) due to some people getting a bit worked up or something - I'm unclear why exactly. I think it is unrealistic to not expect some division and disagreement over a matter as vital as this - I mean look at how much debate banshees swords is generating across two forums!  :D

Until we know what the actual goal is of any project is then this thread is all pretty meaningless.

I have now re-opened this thread.

Aside from the various bad feeling and comments which were becoming more frequent in the thread, this was initially locked on a temorary basis while there was a chance of some movement. Also, I felt that the various 'back and forth' would damage players confidence in any solution which did appear.

I hope that this has cleared things up.

That was my thoughts too!! Sounds great though... :)

I deliberately made sure my computer gear could be used only for university and not games :D  Impulse control...

P.S. Thanks for the clarification on the HOW thread CS, makes sense.
