Because they're not in the area long enough to establish dominance, but long enough for any enemies also in the area to become cautious and go to ground / ignore the objective and get ready to fight.

Makes sense!

Considering the number of games that I play both in friendlies and at tournaments that end in draws, with one side having maybe one objective, I think the current system is generally at the correct level of difficulty regarding capturing  objectives.

While that is an interesting comment can you explain how it applies to what I am discussing?

BTW guys, if you want to discuss this "no march" thing can you start a topic for it instead of hijacking this one?

PG, if I understand you correctly, the contention is that Blitzkrieg is too easy to achieve as an objective at least in part because it can also form part of "Take and hold". I really dislike the notion of requiring both edge objectes to be held to achieve 'Blitzkrieg', both because this is not what the term blitzkrieg implies and also because the home objective already forms part of 'Defend the flag'.

If you need to change the requirements, two suggestions here might be :-
1) Revise the wording of 'Take and hold' to be something like "uncaptured enemy" objectives - so effectively you only get 'Blitzkrieg' and 'Take and hold' by capturing all three enemy objectives. This would make it significantly harder to achieve both objectives, perhaps too hard??

2) Require the Blitzkrieg to be captured by troops with a percentage of the army value (say 5%) or perhaps by '100 points worth of units'. While obviously harder to calculate, it has the merit of outlawing the single unit objective grabbing that many seem to dislike, including myself.

That said, I really like the balance between the current objectves and the way they reflect the strategic success of each army. IMO, the real issue is not so much the objectives, but the means of achieving them. judging by comments here and in many other threads, I think it would be better to clarify and perhaps change the requirements for both contesting and capturing objectives. Single units, air transports, marching, formation capabilities etc all form part of this debate, which as you suggest really ought to be on a different thread.

I do not see a point of changing Blitzkrieg object by itself.
However, the entire object system on my opinion needs some fixing. But I'm quite alone with this, the new thread on subject I started didn?t generate any traffic..

Perhaps now would be a good time to revive it??
