I seen the whole topic and I must say: Onyx you have cool painted epic armies.

Onyx your Tau looks great and could you tell how you painted the Tau army?

Mate such a great array of painted armies, you must be proud of your achievements, they are fantastic. I have some friends in the west, so I may have to pay a special visit when I get back, maybe drop in and get a game or two in with you and Mark. Keep it coming.

Thanks all, much appreciated!

Doopie - The Tau were basecoated with a tan spray can and then details were added (grey and white for weapons etc) then they were washed with Woodland Scenics Raw Umber pigment. Very simple paint scheme.

Aaron - You're always welcome here mate!

I've spent a bit of time finishing my Marines. Here's the lot now.




You can thank the Scion list for the next pic (love that army list).


I'm using the F/W Thunderhawk as a Landing Craft (scale is pretty close).


Lastly - a ruined Templar chapel as the Blitzkrieg objective.

Very very nice Templars mate. Bravo, some very nice painting there. Hey I may have some panited Templar infantry on long bases in a box, if you would like some reinforcemenst I may be able to help out. Everything from Neophytes up. I had a Templar Army, was doing some serious playtesting and then got very dejected at where the army list wasn't going. I then sold the army to a turkey who attempted to rip me off and all that came back was the infantry. I was a happy camper to say the least. If you are interested, I will add them to the Thunderhawks we have already spoken about.

That looks great!  The banners really set the infantry off and I like the look of the predators with the old school chassis and new turrets.

Great looking Force !  Good use of Mk.1 Rhinos, and good idea using the T/hawk as an L/C ! :D  I was thinking the same.

i have had to use some of you ideas to make my own

but need help.

i am new to the hobby'ish about a year.

i have carved my own monolith from poly but want to make a few from the one,

Liquid Latex, coat your original with a few layers and let it dry.

Where did you get the new Predator turrets & sponsons? Are they available as bitz or did you just cannibalise the new Preds?
