Hi!
Well, netepic has had rules for a "rokkit transport", glad to see there will be model to use for it.

Thanks. Interesting stuff, although it's a pity that the samples of the rulebook aren't there. The boxsets sound pretty good value, but ?7 is another rise for the blisters. Just have to hope there are 4 models in them.

NetEpic,
Any chance you could run the photos through a graphics program to clean up the fuzziness?
I can barely make out the objects. The Ork transport is mostly a red blob.
I am grateful for the photos. Make no mistake.
Best regards and Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
I agree, the pictures are a little fuzzy. I'm not sure if editing will fix it though.

I am currently on a train therefore I keep losing my connection...
I also have pictures of the Hunter, Predators, Razorbacks and Typhoon LandSpeeder.
Sorry I didn't get to see anyone, but I got carried away talking nostalgia with the GW Archivist down in the Lower Hall.
I did manage to speak to Jervis and others as well.

thank goodness for GPRS, there is something about connecting to the internet and uploading pictures at 125mph...
for Maksim and others

oh and before I forget
Jervis (in person) confirmed to me that at some point there WILL be an Ork submersible (which can land as well).

It was really great to meet up with everyone- Chris, Tom and ?Tuffskull (oh, sorry and Doug!!)- as well as checking out all the cool displays, and do a bit of shopping!
The new FW Eldar models are superb, I've got to say, really finely detailed and nicely scaled.
As well as all the interesting news that Tom has put up on the Netepic news page, Jervis also mentioned to me that Fanatic had been considering producing their own new magazine like White Dwarf, just covering all the Fanatic games, to replace their existing stuff.. he did say they wern't making any decisions yet, but it remained a possibility...
Cool eh?

Hi!
Excellent picture Jimbo! I really like this model, I think it was long overdue that the orks had some flying transport of their own.
While I like the idea of an ork submersible, what real use does it have in a ground combat game? If there will be more such "ships" from other armies then it gets interesting as an epic scale "naval" conflict game.

Games Day was a blast!!!!!!
It was suitably amazing!!! I got to meet some of you guys! Stormseer, Tom, Paul and Doug, you are all great people, but, to be honest, non of you looked like what I had expected, except Tom...You just looked less drunk than in other pics of you I bet I didn't look like what any of you expected. Also, Paul and Tom, sorry I didn't hunt you down and say bye, the guy waving the Meadowhall sign was there for about 10 mins before I went to them, I thought if I was any later they would kill me, even more if I was the last one there...
Random Info.
Jervis confirmend there will be PLASTIC Tau and Necrons for Epic, but not for 3 1/2 to 4 years.
When Epic is realised there will be 8 boxed sets and 15 blisters
A new Fanatic Warhound is coming out, a different "pattern" to the others. Along with enclosed "Armageddon" pattern Basilisk and Griffon.
I have pics of everything decent from the Seminars and some stuff from the main area, including some of a BFG battle where the Imperial fleet was over 10,000 pts on its own! Rather cool!!
When they are uploaded I will give you a link...
Oooh, while I remember, there are some new Eldar BFG ships coming out that look a lot like the space fleet versions! Cool!
Last thing, Tony Cotrell is a complete loony! He NEVER says no when people ask him if they are going to make "whatever" model. "Tony, any plans for a 1:1 scale SM coming out" [Tony] "We could do that for about 2005...." (ok that was fake, but I wouldn't put it past him....)
Cheers
Chris

cheers
it took three attempts to get a decent picture, the glass cabinet makes it very difficult to focus (with my autofocus digicam) and it certainly doesn't help with hundreds of people also trying to see the new models and take pictures. I didn't have the heart to tell the young lad attempting to take pictures with his phone camera that there is no way that they will come out....
While I like the idea of an ork submersible, what real use does it have in a ground combat game? | Think of it as a dropship or tunneller, but instead of dropping in from space or coming out of the ground, look at it as coming out from the sea. According to Jervis it can come out of the sea and move on land - so the beach could be off-table.
If there will be more such "ships" from other armies then it gets interesting as an epic scale "naval" conflict game. |
Asked Tony "the loon" Cotrell about models and he said
no ah well, back to converting and scratchbuilding - and Maksim before you ask I will take photos of my Ork riverine craft and post to the boards.
