And that smaller tank - that has to be that 2dc new thing from forgeworld (macherius? or something?)

Where can we order them from?

Google says - http://www.echobasetoys.com/More_St....rps.htm

There's even one with a bigger cannon, and a tank loaded up with ammo to support it.

I really want a couple of Leopold rail mounted heavy artillery platforms.  I have always wanted to do a scenario where the objective was to take a couple of these out but was undecided as to what scale to do it in.  (could do it in 28mm but I don't think it would be cheap for the model, though it would be a great kill team scenario).

Very cool
YEah. I'm not exactly sure how bit a Leopold would be. I remember seeing pics a really nicely done model of one... could be 1/32 scale but that was more than 1 metre long! :O I think even at 1/144 it'd be a fairly large model (Rough guess would be somewhere between 10-20 cm.)

Why stop at Leopold? Just get Dora.  And then do what the loonies in the upper echelons of 3rd reich planned by mounting it on a SP chassis.

In epic no-one can hear the reality checks scream.  :p

Like a 54cm gun on a 1:144 model being used as a 108cm gun at 1:300 proxy.

Though that seems like a little kids toy when they go making mad things like Emperor class titans (which reminds me I really should paint mine, this army needs some more heavy support :).

Was it the E-1000, that was to mount a battleship's turret on tracks ? Or was that just a Sci-fi concept thought up by Neo-Nazis ?!    Now that would be an interesting Epic Ordinatus !  :D

Nope, it would've been P-1000's big brother, P-1500.

Info in the quote from Achtung! Panzer! website

In December of 1942, Krupp created new design of 1500 ton tank - P 1500. It frontal armor would be 250mm thick and it would be armed with 800mm super heavy mortar "Dora" type and possibly two 150mm artillery pieces. P 1500 would be powered by two or four submarine diesel engines. In early 1943, Albert Speer cancelled both projects.
