Ok, back from church and the weather is colder and wetter than I woke up.  No airbrushing in the garage for me.  Add to that the fact that I have to blow my nose every five frickin' minutes.  grr.   Here's a teaser though

Need to order decals for them next month.

Oh, and it turns out that Reaper casts the minis, so my observations regarding the metal must've been all in my head as it's the same metal as all my CAV minis.

Let's see... the midwar league for Flames kinda fell apart, but I do have the Tanks finished (barring decals).  it's been too cold and wet to even think about priming lately, which has really impacted my capability to get stuff painted.

I also applied and was accepted for round 2 of college, so my available time for hobby is going to get thrown out the window.

fortunately or not Gamer ADD struck again, and I also found a very pretty set of minis carried by the folks over at Fantasy Flight Games, called Anima.

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/anima ... ducts.html for the photo links.

looks like the game is action-based, with alternating activations (or at least has Re-action rules like Infinity), which will make for a very interesting small-scale fantasy skirmish.  most of the art is done by the same guy that drew Final Fantasy XII, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasy X, although I've seen a few pics on the site that remind me of other Roleplaying Games for the PS2.

Got some new AI stuff in the mail today. Vigilent & Colossus, the Control Tower, Airfield Accessories pack, and a pack of Ork Bomms & Rokkits. I ordered both the Landing Pads but they were back ordered.  I must say again, the new resin is good improvement ... and worth the cost !  :D

I think that this is a game that looked at a while ago, but the site has changed. I liked the look of it, but a few online reviews implied that it really wasnt very good, so I dropped the idea.

Reviewed in issue 13 here

Let me know what you think, and if you end up getting it.

As promised, the Great Workbench Clearance of 2008 begins.
I'm starting with Space Marines, since that's what I've got most under way.

* Raven Knight Commander on foot
What is made of: Unusually for me, all stock pieces with only two modifications:
Khorne Berserker running legs (right knee reposed, so he looks more like he's marching rather than running)
Company Champion shoulder pads from the Command Squad box
Commander sword, read torso and backpack (upper half of it)
Bolt Pistol right arm from any plastic Marine kit, really.
MK IV torso and one of the "knightly" helmets from Black Templar sprue
Lower portion of backpack from a 2nd Edition plastic Marine backpack
General concept: Listen to House of Doom by Manowar for a bit. Then apply that image to Space Marines and you get a battle-hungry Space Marine marching over mountains of corpses (not included on the model). Apply that to a Space Marine Commander and it's precisely what this one is.
Status: One last touch of Greenstuff in the right knee joint and he's ready for painting.
ETA: Will be finished today, painted next week.

* Spirits of Malal
What is made of: mixture of random Chaos and Loyalist Marine bits
General Concept: posted earlier in this topic or its previous incarnation
Status: Cancelled. I'll finish the first one, and go back to this project when I'm done with all the other crap clogging the workspace.

* Ion Dragons Space Marines (1 Bolter Marine, 1 Sergeant)
What is made of: Marine bits and some minor conversions.
General Concept: Another custom Chapter that turned up as a result of browsing Deviantart during a severe caffeine overdose. I'm converting two marines to try the color scheme on.
Status: Leg repose almost complete. Heads and torsos will be stock, arms for the Sgt stock as well. Arms for the Tac Marine are in converting right now.
ETA: Somwhere this month.

* Raven Knight Biker #2
What is made of: Marine bits, Chaos Bits, Bretonnian head, Greenstuff, wire.
General Concept: Marine turning his bike into a slide while aiming a meltagun at the opponent.
Status: The model is actually coming together at last. The old attempt at the base had to be scrapped (I need to figure how to model dirt and stones spraying from under the front wheel, otherwise the sense of movement won't be there)
ETA: This year.
* Ion Dragons Techmarine
What is made of: Nothing yet!
General Concept: Kind of Techmarine equivalent of my work on Chaplain Raziel. That is, use minimum stock bits and add green stuff to everything.
Status: on pause. Will come back to it later.

* Servo Skulls
What is made of: Skulls and random bits
Status: Pile of skulls and bits in a bag, mostly. One skull halfway done.

Excluding some random bits (heads and backpacks mostly) I'm converting just for the sake of it, that's it for the Space Marine stuff unless I dig up some unfinished project I all but forgot about.

Wraithlord
What is made of: Old metal Wraithlord with the original Shuriken Catapult/Flamer underslung weapons replaced.
Status: I'm nearly done. Just a little filing of the GS here and there for the final shape, pinning the arms to the torso and it's done.

Siamese:
What is made of: Siamese miniature from Heroclix Indie line
General concept: No converting. Just cleaning the thing, filling up any gaps and repainting.
Status: Halfway done.

Oh yes, in all that chaos I managed to lost track of one of the Hasslefree female head bits. At least I made a Greenstuff mould of it before that happened, and I'm sure that the actual part will turn up when the cleaning progresses.

Working on some of my DRM Pax Infantry. 2 packs had the thick bases that some of the early pieces had.  Doing well, only slipped up once and had to do a little "meatball surgury" on some legs ... Ouch !!! :O    But overall I'm very, very pleased with DRM and E/W for that matter !  :alien:

I've been stripping, minis that is.  :p  One Reaver down, one to go, with some Warhounds waiting their turn. I also stripped a bunch of Rapiers and Thudd Guns.
Painting continues, albeit slowly, on my Knights.

I finished stripping both Reavers, which will be part of my Traitor legion, and two Warhounds, which are slated for my AMTL. In the jar now are two Shadowswords, with one more to go. Next to be stripped will be 10 Vindicators for IG. My free time is somewhat limited right now, so I figured stripping is the perfect project to tackle until I do have more time.

Got my decals yesterday for my Federation Commander ships.  Hopefully this weekend I'll have the first 12 ships done.  During the week I plan on finishing bases for a modified CAV and a bunch of hubries.
