Holy Crap @ Steel Hammer. Can I say that?

Very impressive and great paint job as usual. Best looking Imperator I've seen.

I did something similar with the leg positioning on mine but the additional arm repositioning on yours brings it to life even further. Definatly looks like Steel Hammer is on the hunt looking to bring down the Emperor's wrath on some poor Cads.

Yeah: Well The posing basically just proves that the Imperator is a rather unlikely design in realistic terms. I sure would hate to be stationed on those bastions when it moves as well.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to base this model to begin with. On one hand it'd allow me to place it slightly more realistic (It does lean forward a bit much) but on the other I wanted it to be in line with my other Legio Metalica Imperators which are unbased.

What annoys me is the trouble most cameras have when photographing red. Many cameras just make the colors way too bright. My own gets fairly close to the right color, but shades and highlights still suffer somewhat. I dont want to doctor my pics too much in Photoshop (usually just adjusting brightness slightly) but the pic might benefit forom a slight contrast adjustment. ...Of maybe my photos are just plain crappy to begin with

Rather embarasing though: I just noticed an error where it seems I've touched the model with wet paint on my fingers: A beer to the first one to spot it

I'll try and make a bitz breakdown in a few days. Right now I'm too drunk to remember though

With just one night of painting left I'm afraid my original Battleforce entry has to be scrapped this year. My originally planned SIngle unit entry will be changed as well. Time for PLan B it seems.

The Single Unit is pretty much done... Although I'm undecided which one of two models to enter (I could enter both but then I'd be competing agains myself which seems kind of silly

)

One piece from the Battleforce will be entered into the Titan category. A bit unfortunate for the reasons stated above, but basically this model was intended as my main contender for the Conversion category.

The Battleforce entry will be one of two projects as well. One could be entered as it is, although it'd look nice with a bit of infantry added. The other need a squadron of Knights painted so I guess the final choice will depend on how much time I have left tomorrow night

2 aquilas from the Imperial Tank accessory spure
2 spures of Inquisitor Tyrus Icon Bitz
3 large AT era Reaver Titan purity seals
2 small ATera Purity seals

Space Marine bitz:
Commander Eagle Head Backpack
Commander laurels
Iron Halo
2 Space Marine scroll tubes
2 hanging scrolls
2 Space Marine small purity seals
2 plastic Space Marine back banners
2 Dark Angles banner icons

+ a bit of plasticard for the extra armor plating on the arm weapons.

Off the top of my head I think that's pretty much it. Apart from the posing of the legs it is a fairly simple and straightforward conversion.

Various detal shots of the Lucius Pattern Imperator entered in the EpiComp. As mentioned earlier I originally wanted to add this to a battlegroup along with 3 Lucius Pattern Warlords, a FW Reaver and 2 FW Warhounds. I think it'd have looked prety neat, but I also didn't want to rush the paintjobs on the FW titans just to be finished in time. So: Rather decimated here's what's left of Battleforce Yggdrasill :;):

The Steel Hammer, Legio MEtalica Imperator is a perfectly normal Imperator with a few bitz added :;):

The Lucuis one is something quite different (calling that an easy conversion would probably be the understatement of the year
