@Soren: I would love to play against your Tyranids. :)
I hope next year i will be more mobile to actually come to MIDI-Battle :)

And for playtesting: If you think your MinervanTank Legion ist to "nice" then you aren't playtesting. Playtesting is with an army composed of troops to win!
You must find loopholes. You musttry to break the list (see the all Termagant army batreps here). Only then you are playtesting.
If you build an army which fits the fluff but isn't designed to be competetive...not designed to win, then you aren't playtesting. You have a friendly game.

I believe that having 'friendly' games is just as important to the playtesting process as is 'stress testing' the list.

Lists must be able to provide the former, and withstand the latter, equally.

Sure. Playing an armylist has to "feel" like fielding an appropiate army of the given race.
But also it should be competitive, but not overpowered.

But we only see the "cracks" in the list when we stress it... and we must find those cracks to fill them!

But, yes, friendly games are more fun!  *laugh*

I would like to come to the next Midi. It?s after my Master degree so I should have time......exept my new job forbids coming ;)

@Chroma: You will get your report as fast as I can get some of my guys to play. Noone touches my babies, so army exchange will not work. I am just a very caring brood father ;)

I look forward to your reports, Soren!

Well, if you don't let people use your Bugs, perhaps you can ask some of your group to put together some lists for you to try out... things they think might be broken or such.

Can we see some pics?   :)
