Unfortunately, he's at survival school for the Air Force.  If I'm not mistaken, he'll be back some time around Christmas.

Once I get through the end of the semester (early Dec), I'll try to pound on it a bit, but I'm not likely to be able to do more than post untested observations or number-crunching until then.

I gotta ask: On turn 2, why did you go after the reg HQ and their meat-shield  of rough riders, rather then teleport in to wipe out Tank Co 1? They were the BTS, putting in two Monoliths in crossfire positions, moving an Eques out of one to fire at them and place some blast markers, then retaining to assault with another formation would have seemed the better choice, to me. Clear out the blitz and potentially kill his BTS goal... And he has to choose if  he wants to shoot at your eques to avoid pre-assault deaths, or shoot at your assaulters to avoid the no-blast-marker/less-blast-marker bonuses!

Cuz that's a heck of a lot of overwatch to have to face... *laugh*

I didn't see my Eques, at least in the configurations I had, doing much damage at all there... even with crossfire, it's an average of two hits from Eques 2 and one hit from Eques 1 and still decent saves... and then the overwatch fire annihilates any assaulters... at least that was my thought on them, even though they were isolated... and if I didn't go first, I could've easily lost two Monoliths over there.

Interesting report.

I did show up one of my bug-bears. The IG had BTS and then they lost it in the next turn. I don't believe that this should happen.

It's cus off-board formations count as sdestroyed in the Necron army. If you actually wipe out the BTS, it won't be coming back. But if you break it and it phases out, then you have BTS that turn but if you fail to re-break it next turn you won't. I never found it to be a big issue, since in any other army you wouldn't have had BTS the first round anyway since the BTS would have just been broken not wiped out.
