Thank you VERY much. I went to GW to buy my BFG book yesterday, and its sold out  Because of the campaign at my club, a load of playerss have now started buying it. Which is a good thing, but not when I cant get one. 
I cant look at it at the moment as I'm not at my computer, and this one doesn't have acrobat reader, so I cant open it. Unless anyone can show me how to.

My plan is to get two... The first will be the bombardment cannon. It is a great vessel. I wil then probably get one out of bits to create my own variant to make it a bit more personal and Orky.

Oh I plan on getting as many as I can (hide from my missus  )
And like you, the bombardment first. I read in the WD that they are interchangeable, so I might be able to blue tac/ magnetic the weapon fitments, so that I can use which ever variant whenever I want to.

I too was thinking of the bombardment cannon version.
The lances are a little gimicky, but the Slamblasta does have the most powerful side batteries of all 4. D6+6.
But then against the Deathdeala (bombardment cannon one) has Soopa Enginez.
Whats an Ork supposed to do?

True, the Slambusta does have the best broadside guns, but it sacrifices an extra set of weapons compared to the others, for just a +2 to the firepower. I would rather have the heavy gunz.

The dethdeala still has more powerful side batteries over the hammer too (D6=4 as opposed to D6+2).
These improved engines I'm a little wary of. One of my strengths I use is keeping the fleet tightly packed together, and concentrating all fire on one cruiser at a time. If I use this the battleships will be charging off faster than my Escorts!!!!

The slambasta does still have the side heavy guns.
The normal side gunz are a nice d6+6 too.
You mainly just loose the prow heavy gunz for the lances.
