I like the way that both lists are pogressing. Will probably want to concentrate on armoured list rather than either of these. However I like the differences between each list, both between each other and also with the main official Barran siegemasters list.

Now we need Forgeworld to do Epic versions of Griffon, Centaur and also their 40k scale heavy artillery carriage with medusa siege gun.

Aye, they work well as a 'light' Baneblade company, punchy but lacking in BM-resistance.

So do I! My gorgons (The ones featured in the suppliment) take hours to get a usable casting, and currently the front ramp mould needs re-making for the third time. :(

I'll admit here that I wanted to keep the Krieg list made of currently produced models as much as possible; With the questionable status of the Stormhammer in the 40k background right now, I wanted to keep it for the Armoured Regiment list.

There's nothing stopping you using Stormhammers with this list if you wanted, as porting it from the Armoured Regiment army list shouldn't create any imbalances.

The Ragnarok will definitely be staying as the preserve of the Mossinians, as a way of highlighting the difference between PDF tanks and those tanks that are supplied to offensive armies.

I considered it, but fluffwise the Malcador is a very ancient design of tank which is no longer produced; As Mossino is not a highly militarised world and contains no ancient storage depots for the rebels to raid, it made sense to deny them access to the larger / more powerful tanks... they don't get access to Baneblades or Shadowswords either!

I agree!

Although, if you buy:

- 1 Basilisk static platform pack.
- 1 Medusa pack.

The parts are interchangable, so you end up with:

- 1 mobile Basilisk formation.
- 1 static Medusa platform formation.

Hi E&C

The Gorgon is one of the main reasons I would prefer to (eventually) do a Krieg rather than a Barran list. And also the ability to take Macharius and other SHT's as companies, even as support choices.

I understand about Ragnarok being saved for Mossinian list- I read that list afterwards and you are right- it does fit better there. I would still have liked to see Malcador in Mossinian list even if only indivudual tanks instead of companies or limited in number.

I have read before on other threads that not to difficult for Forgeworld to use CAD software to shrink 40k sized models down to Epic scale. If so then surely FW will eventually release an Epic version of Malcador (although I hope they do Gorgon next- which they are bound to do once they see how good your scratchbuilt Gorgons are!!).

If so we are running out of lists to put the Malcador. Obviously can't go Barran Siegemasters as out of print. Thus is Malcador does n't go Mossinian list then where will it go??

There will be no scope to introduce new list as Barran, Krieg & Mossinian lists would limit scope to introduce another IG list. ?So would it unbalance Mossinian list to introduce the Malcador even if just in small numbers?

Good call on medusa platforms- will try to remember that one.

A couple of the sculptors would like to do Epic ground vehicles again, but they're too busy making the thirty-fifth Leman Russ variant. :D

I think we can be certain of seing more terrain pieces from FW (Specifically one of their sculptors wants to have a go at something like their 40k scale fortress walls).

More ground vehicles?

I'm starting to think there's actually an informal hold on them, while GW decides what to do with the SG ranges. I never could get a comment out of Tony C. on the subject.

What is your take on numbers in 40k? I always though they should be mind boggling, so cas from a war would far oustrip the cas taken in the 30's and 40's wars in the 20th century (150 million or so I think). Plus I remember Rick Priestly saying pops of hive worlds ran into the billions - and this is British not American billions.
Though with a nearly empty agri world I guess it adds up :) (What would agri world pop be? North America was 25 million prior to european arrival - would that be to dense for a corporate world? Something like Europe in Dark Ages or should it be more dense like 18th century sub continent (peasants everywhere I tell you).

I liked the final report - however I was hoping it was all politics and not chaos :) But one man causing it all works as well :)

O and the white scars stuff was fantastic :)

If Andy doesn't give you a prototype Salamander I'll be dissapointed!

Page three has a population chart for the three continents of the planet, with the total worldwide being 6.6 Million people.

I see this planet as mostly being thousands of miles of empty fields, tended by scattered farming communities (Who use higher tech. and more intensive farming methods than we have today... where we spread lime on the fields, they fly fertilisation aircraft and seed who counties with genetically modified crops...)

Their standing military is very small, and most of the people on the troublesome continent of Mossino aren't even involved in the rebellion, but they're not the ones with guns so they can't stop it....

I see it as genuine political desire that just needed a tiny push in the right direction (Thus, one man can make a difference, Democracy works, etc :D ).

Yeah, I think that's the most 'old-school 40k' in the whole doc. :)

Oh yes I saw the population stuff - I just always wonder where people lie on the whole humanity and numbers thing. In a retro high tech world it can go either way i guess!

6 million incidentally is the same number as the US total number of farm jobs - did you get the figures from there? :) (Yes after writing about replacing food aid with cash transfers to refugees I am a mine of pointless facts.)

Aye, I'm on the side of 'uncountably high' for Hive worlds too, so Agri-Worlds really have to be sparse and almost-fully dedicated to food production to feed places like that.

The population size just came from my familiarity with the sparsity of the countryside (I spent ten years on a farm one time), rather than any research, with an estimate that a quater of the population is congregatated in the few cities (Osmotic pressure from the surrounding Imperium has led to a few small industries springing up, despite Cassinum's intended designation as an Agri-World).
