Been a while since I've posted anything 'round these parts as I've been busy taking over a job within my unit, so thought I'd offer up my latest completed minis.  Here's most of a squad of Cadians.  Still need to paint the heavy weapon team though.  [looks around nervously and whispers] I'm not going to use them for 40k though.  I bought a copy of 5150 from Two Hour Wargames and will be using the regular Cadians for Terran PDF and the Kasrkin for the Star Army.  My Space Marines will also see use as the ISS for the Terrans.  Or I may try out the 40k conversion rules for 5150 that make Space Marines as badass as they're supposed to be. [looks around again]  However this further proves that I will paint anything sci-fi before I paint a fantasy fig as I have several fantasy figures that I have had for several years that still need mold lines removed from them.  I've got a Hasslefree mini on order that I'll be using as character model for a more RPG-lite campaign as well.  Need some aliens and bugs next.  Anyway enough babble, here's the pic.  Please excuse the blue tint to everything, the grey background swallowed the minis and I couldn't keep the pics from picking up the blue background.  They're shaded better than you can see the pic too.  The camera was a ways back to fit them all in the pic so you can't see the wash very well.

Heck, I'm happy the eyes point in the same direction.  Look in my 40k gallery on photobucket and you'll see why!  :D

I have the urge to abuse my power as moderator and amend the name of this thread to 'Some REALLY WELL-PAINTED Cadians'.
:) :) :) :) :)
Great choice of colour scheme too.

Good stuff.  Out of everything in 40k, the Cadian plastics always tempted me.the most.

Yeah, but I'm too lazy to take the time, because if I did that I'd have to drill out every grenade launcher in both platoons (four in each) and the Command Section.  I bought 2000 points worth of Cadians right off the bat when the plastics released.  Had something like 120 or 130 human figures in the force, a Chimera, a Leman Russ, a Leman Russ Demolisher, a Basilisk (can't have an IG army without at least one :D), and two Sentinels.  I've always been more concerned with getting them done quickly.  Originally I wasn't going to do their eyes.  When I stopped playing 40k I had the Chimera, a Sentinel, and four squads painted with everything else in varying degrees of completion.  Always felt guilty about that as I liked the Cadian models.  Unfortunately the Sentinels didn't survive moving back to the States from South Korea very well.

One is...mostly, the other literally got crushed and and the pieces are usable only as a destoyed Sentinel marker.  That is one of my "Someday" projects.  As in "Someday I'll get around to it."

Actually, they were already converted slightly to give them lascannons instead of multilasers.

Drilling out those barrelz is well worth the time.
Such a nice paint job shouldnt be ruined by a bit of laziness. :;):
