Besides my Kess battleriders, I have been slowly painting some knights and an Ordinatus Mars.

The former are basecoated in desert yellow, with grey lining. The latter has only been primed grey. I can't decide if I want to paint it 'stock', or if I should enhance it a little. For example, the sides of the tracks on the control unit are really flat and boring. Perhaps some additional armor plates? Maybe cut off the goofy turret and add a heavy bolter? Adeptus Mechanicus gear symbols in a few prominent places, that sort of thing.

The knights look nice.

You could just possibly paint some extra detail onto the flat bits of the ordinatus.

One must never deface an Ordinati in these times Otterman - they are antiques! :;):

Just paint some different symbols or something...

I like the knights by the way!

More Knight work. Note the guy in the middle, with extra detailing on the borders, with some highlighting as well.

Is it worth all of the extra effort for the detailing and highlighting?

P.S. - Yes, I drilled the barrels.

Yes, it is definately worth the extra effort. Very nice and subtle shading on these.

I'm not dead yet!

Do you think L-4 will approve of the desert scheme?

You need to ask?  :D  The Paladins look great. Coincedentally, I'm working on some Paladins, too, a household in fact. Mine, however, probably won't be L4 approved.
