I was thinking the same thing Otterman.

El T, great job again.  Those look really good.  I'm surprised you can get such bright colors using a black primer.  How many coats of paint do you end up using?

Once again, awesome work! :)  I wouldn't be surprised if you told us that you work on the 'Eavy Metal team... :D

It depends a lot on the color used. The SM have very few layers:

Basecoat is a darkened down Ultra-Marines Blue. Then a straight coat of UM Blue, leaving the basecoat in the shadows. The highligt consists of three layers of UM Blue mixed with more and more Electric Blue.

The green on the Falcons is a different story. The basecoat is a Goblin Green slightly darkened, leaving the black primer in the deep areas. Then a slightly darkened Dark Angels Green all over, (thin and almost a wash). Then a couple of pure thin Dark Angels Green leaving the deep areas. The highlights are a couple of layers of Dark Angels Green with more and more White, (I know many use Yellow to mix with, but I like the White highlights here).

There are no secrets to painting miniatures, just good advice. Never use paint straight from the container. Always see if the paint needs watering down, (fx I always thin down Dark Angels Green).

For mixing paint I use a homemade wet-palet. I would love to show you some pictures, but my camera just told me to  buy a new battery. I'll try to recharge it, but it may take a couple of days before I can take new pictures.

The layer-technique on a black primer is perfect on small miniatures. It's not as effective if you work on larger areas.

Not the case, I'm just a sad man from Denmark who loves to paint small miniatures.

What is it with Danish people, are they ALL good painters? (Warmaster Nice is another case, of course)

To show what I mean by small and large areas for red color on black primer:

These red areas are very close to being to large. It takes a lot of patience to get a nice red here.

Edit:
Do'h, I just saw something I could have improved. On the frontshields I glued half a base from an epic-figure. I cut have cut the half base to look like ork-teeth.

Great stuff. Great idea to add the old Pulsa Rokkits to a proper cariage. The old ones looked so stupid I never bothered to paint up mine.

I've heard of how wet-pallet's are used but have never used them myself.

It's a damp paper towel underneath a layer of wax/cheese paper correct?

very nice. I like the old codex grey too. I had some painted in that style too somewhere.

What are those Space marine bikes? They look different to what I know.

The three tanks at the back of the Artillery Company, what are they?
