Now THAT is some introduction! Welcome, elThyge, and, since you're celebrating, Happy IG Army! :)

Lovely camo job, nice to see the old Manticores (without the bobble, thankfully :), the Ogryns lok great, but the Rough Riders are to die for :)
Individually based commissara are a fgood idea too.
SInce you might not have seen it - there is something called Epicomp running at the moment: Epicomp 07 link.

Thx for all the nice comments.

The army is based on some IG-miniatures I had lying around from the old Epic: Space Marine days. I wanted to see how many of them i could integrate with the newer miniatures. I also wanted to make a tribute-army to the old grey Imperial Guardsman.

The first thing as vanvlak wrote was to get rid of the bubble on the Manticores. Next I cut of the shells of the Basilisks and raised the barrels.

I painted the camo with an old brush with the tip cut off. It's partly dabbed on, partly drybrushed to give the airbrush feeling.

The new miniatures consists of the GW Leman Russ tanks and the FW Chimeras and Hydra. I'll recommend anyone starting an Epic IG-army to use the FW Chimeras as they are both cheaper and better looking than those from GW, (I really hope FW will take over Epic in the future)!

Right now I'm working on three other armies to battle this one, so there may be more pictures in the future.

Well the Codex Grey fetish says something about my age.

I'm working on Biel-Tan Eldars, Ultra-Marines SM and Goff Orks.

I'll probably finish the Eldars first, though the SM-army need less work. The Orks still need a lot of work. I have painted a lot of infantry but haven't even begun on the scratchbuilt Gargants.

Here's a little preview:

Oh wow.... those Termies are the best Ultramarine epic termies I've ever seen.     They look good mounted 3 to a base, and it's nice to see all the codex touches - white helmets, red-faced sergeant - the works.
Great paintwork - I'm already a fan :)

Well the Codex Grey fetish says something about my age.

Heh - are you ready to join the Taccoms pension scheme? ;)

but haven't even begun on the scratchbuilt Gargants
Break the popcorn, gents, we're in for a show

The Ultramarines look very similar to Bobby Wong's. For example, these are his Ultramarine terminators. But you can tell the picture is different, due to static grass and base count.
