A small zeppelin update as I started on the basecoat o the Zep. Still a long way to go though.

I've also been tinkering a bit with yet another Imperator Titan conversion. This time I thought I'd build the Imperator Titan "Steel Hammer" of Grand Master Thaddeus Wilson of the Legio Metalica.
I've taken some inspiration from Firestorm and Centurion's Imperators. Basically it will be a pimped up standard Imperator with a slight repositioning of the legs for a more dynamic pose.

I've got a pretty good idea what I want to do. However I can't quite decide how I want to build the superstructure. I could go for a fairly standard outfit ith the usual 4 spires with battlecannons.
On the other hand this IS supposed to be a command titan so maybe some variation to the armament might be in order. I was thinking of maybe removing a pair of toers and replacing them with a sensor array. The remaining two towers swap position with the two lascannons. What I dislike about this idea is that it will make the superstructure look smaller and more ense compared to the regular Imperator. If anything I think this Titan should look even more imposing than the regular Imperator...

Another idea was replacing the battlecannons in the towers with plasma pistols. I imagine a Grand Master's Imperator might have a few special gadgets up it's sleeve. :;):

Thanks... Hmm. I messed up with the Iron halo. I accidentally dropped it on the floor and now I can'r seen to find it anywhere... :p It will probably show up once I've completed the titan so I can groan about not having added it :p :D

I have to confess that I have a soft spot for the Legio Metalica. Firstly the name-only one letter out from a cretain rock band. Secondly the colour scheme- the red with black and either white/yellow chevrons looks cool and also reasonably realistic for futuristic heraldry.

Also the Warlord Mark 3 looks great in a red colur scheme.

Aye! Legio Metalica all the way. ...Though I've mixed their color scheme slightly with that of the Fire Wasps. :;):

Here's an update. I still haven't been able to locate the Iron Halo so for now I'm leaving the space above the head empty.

Not sure bout the positioning of the plasma pistols... just a weird idea I had. :p

The repositioning of the legs are pretty much done though they're not glued in place yet. They'll also change apearance slightly as the left leg will be raised slightly above the ground once the model is based.

All that needs to be done now is a bit of Green Stuff work and it is pretty much ready for an undercoat.

True. And I would have posted the first pic a year ago, but I don't have a digicam. Eventually I will get one and make some pictures, at the latest when my 3000 points AMTL are finished.

Well I finally gave in and boutght te Chemical Plant set. I gotta say this has to be one of my better hobby related purchases in a long time. I had a lot of fun putting together this refinery. It still needs a lot of detailing but overall I'm very happy with it. Putting together the pieces was just like playing with Lego again. and the best part is that I probably only used about 1/8 of the content of the box (And at ?15 it is a steal!)

Anyway here's two rather craptacular pics but hopefully you get the general idea.
