Well, after six weeks I am finally comfortable enough posting these pics (please forgive the blurriness - I am sure the primed and painted ones will come out better).
These were made with a master model that was moulded and then cast several times. I can truly say they were a huge pain in the butt and I am still not 100% pleased with them.

The four Raiders and the Ravager modeled this morning.
I originally did this to save myself some time since the Raiders and Ravagers would be so prevalent in a DE army. Looking back I'd say it was a good move. Even if the quality isn't great, they will look uniform on the battlefield, save for the various blade positions (which was intentional).

Holy cr*p!
BTW you're closer to the minis that the minimum focal length of your camera. Take a shot from further away and then crop down to the figures in Photoshop and you'll probably get a better shot. I had to do this with my older camera.
BTW... you could be building Monoliths instead of doing this couldn't you? ;-)

They look great! If you're not 100% pleased, you've got to be pretty close to 100%.

How many pieces for each one? You don't want to know...
It is two for the basic model - the body (which inlcudes the front plow, the fuselage, the platforms, and the pilot) is one piece. The top wing is another piece.
But then the 'fun' comes in. The main gunner and his lance weapon are two more pieces. Then I have FIVE various blades that can be mixed and matched with each other. The result is a 6mm Light Vehicle model with nine pieces.
I am sure there is an easier way to do it but I simply don't have the know-how. This worked well enough for an arm's length inspection. You can tell what it is and there is enough detail on it to make drybrushing it work. Some things you can't really see in the pictures are that the platforms are actually grated like the 40K model and the gun looks like a 40K dark lance weapon (albeit slighter bigger just because it wasn't casting well in its small version).
This was the fifth attempt at the mould.

PG, I'll try taking some new pictures further out when I've painted them. In addition to me being too close, I think the white resin just reflects too much light. Once their painted they should be easier to photograph (I think anyway). All other projects, unfortunately, are on hold until I can get the DE army finished.
All,
Thanks for the compliments. At some point soon I am going to have to build a new master and new mould. I broke my original model in some not-so-good ways and the mould is being slowly ripped apart by each casting. I hope I can get through another half dozen models before it is rendered useless.
