To take a leaf out of L-4's book: I don't know if we don't need GW and it's support of Epic at this time (although judging by Moscovian's results, it's a moot point: there is none), but we rely on it less and less. ?DRM, EW, etc!

Hmm....but i want to play with models from the Wh40k universe and not DRM or EW models.

Well, I'm glad to have a little influence !  :laugh:  It just seems logical to go with DRM and E/W ...  WMN and Vermis have also seen the logic.  And Black Legion ... Let us know what your looking for, maybe the crew here can help, if G/W can't !  :D

I know how you feel.  I like the fact that the models look they way they are supposed to look, not 'kinda like' or 'really close'.

However, therein lies the answer - these are substitutes.  For the ranges that are already out, we can just do our best to support SG and purchase them (please, nobody beat me up for not buying DRM and EW models by the gross).  But the ranges that are not covered now are not going to be covered, possibly never covered.  You and I and the rest of the community need to suck it up and realize that, and find a good substitute.

Here is where I definitely will buy DRM and EW and whatever else comes out.  Anyone who has seen my Necron force knows I used DRM mini's heavily and I think the tremendous involvement they show on this website is telling of their commitment to the hobby.

So, BL, you can both support SG and the other companies - it just takes more money. :D

Well stated, Mosc. I would buy new Squat minis from GW, but they don't exist. Therefore, I'm buying EW's Khazari instead.

If i look at the truely amazing work some people here accomplish by building their own vehicles it is only a matter of time until someone begins to mass produce Epic infantry like Tyranids or Necrons :D

So far I have been able to make Warriors, Immortals, Pariahs and Flayed Ones from using DRM figures.

And at prices cheaper than GW would charge for metal figs as well.

I took the DRM Pac Arcadia Scouts and then clipped the gun barrels from them.

They have cloaks that I am going to be painting in flesh colours to look like the skins the Flayed Ones wear.
