For those unaware, the 40K web site dakkadakka.com is going up for auction later today. The owner, Russ, has decided to move on from running.
Personally, I dont necessarily think that auctioning the site is the best way to ensure its survival, but we will see the result.
I will be looking at the final value with some interest!

Dont worry. The niche market of wargaming, along with my specific web skills, probably makes the domain worth about half what I paid for it new! 
I wouldnt sell you guys!
Seriously, I dont think that offering the site to the highest bidder is necessarily the way to keep the site alive, active and dedicated. It is more likely to attract ad farms.
