Does anyone actually think that SG/GW is going to release any Epic figs now that they have released the Feral Ork and Chaos minis they had previously made?

No, I don't ever expect Epic miniatures to come out ever again.  If WH40K Apocalypse does well, which it probably will, you can count on Epic never coming back.

I may be reading too much into things here, but I think the names that GW has been picking for things are rather prophetic.

Epic: Armageddon  -> WH40K Apocalypse

Armageddon: The scene of a final battle between the forces of good and evil, prophesied to occur at the end of the world.

Apocalypse: a prophetic revelation, esp. concerning a cataclysm in which the forces of good permanently triumph over the forces of evil.  Any universal or widespread destruction or disaster.

I dare say that GW is going to do what it can to make WH40K Apocalypse succeed so they can:

1) Sell more WH40K miniatures
2) Achieve greater economies of scale for the WH40K miniatures, increasing profits
3) Kill off Epic and be done with it

If we are lucky GW will sell off the rights, IP, and moulds to Epic to some gamer with more money than brains.  But more than likely Epic will just simply fade away like sand being scattered by the wind.

Net Epic Armageddon, anyone?

Possibly the Tyranid infantry sprue ... But more than that. I wouldn't really expect.

Yeah that's all I hope for now... and not really expecting anything to happen to be honest :(

When I last contacted Andy, a few months ago now, that was the message that I got too. I asked about development, and he said that he was working on the Tyranid sprue, rereleased. I took that to mean nothing else for the bugs.

I think alot of people would scream with delight if the 'Nid infantry were released.

I'd love to get some idea of how well the Chaos infantry is doing.

Well the nid spure is really just all that is needed. Decent stuff can be built from the 40k range of models. However it'd be nice to have final confirmation that nothing besides the spures will be released so people can sit down and compile a final list of easy-to-do conversions and adjust te army list accordingly.

Personally I'm not really holding my breath for anything either. However I still find it more likely to see the release of a blister plastic infantry metal recasts than a boxed set of plastic miniatures for any race besides nidz.

I've asked FW's guys about Necrons; They're too spindly to consider in resin.

What about that bendy resin, like they used on the 40K Krieg grenadier air hoses and such?

It's a nice theory, but based on GW's history, no amount of advance notice would get me to part with my 'Nids until I see an actual product.  Then of course, it's too late.

I think they'd experiment with Marines first in any case (They have a mostly complete range of unreleased Epic Marines, incl. Sgt, Tactical & Heavy weapons troopers).
